“Superb Food & Service at a Bargain Price”
Reviewed March 3, 2014 via mobile

Roast dinner, with starters and drinks, for five people for £125.....a bargain! Top quality starters (mezze for the rest and beetroot tart tatin for me) followed by roast dinners all round. Perfectly cooked and seasoned, excellent service and a top meal all round.

Not our first visit, and definitely not our last. Relish!!!!

“wake reception”
Reviewed February 20, 2014

We booked this venue as it is so close to the church where my father was buried. The landlord answered all of my enquiries promptly by e-mail a week before the do and was able to give us a wide range of menu choices within a set price. We were greeted on arrival with tea and coffee and the food came a short time afterwards. There were generous amounts of food (lots of us went home with doggy bags) and it was good quality produce. Everything was lovely and despite some of us staying rather a long time we were never made to feel unwelcome. A great venue and a big 'Thank you' to the staff for such good service.

“A wonderful experience”
Reviewed February 17, 2014

We had a night here and ate in the restaurant. Our stay was perfect. Lovely room with great little touches such as a sunlounger to relax on in the huge bathroom. Delicious food, great service. Perfect, English countryside stay. We booked to go back.

“Sunday lunch which can't be beaten anywhere else!”
Reviewed February 15, 2014

Friendly welcome, excellent choice of menu. Roast beef was out of this world - just like eating fillet steak. Everything on the plate was piping hot and delicious. The deserts were equally as good. Can't recommend this place highly enough - the attentive staff, lovely venue, ambience and of course the food will ensure we will return soon.

“Amazing..!!”
Reviewed February 10, 2014

This truly is a great place to eat and drink, the food is fantastic with each dish on the menu carefully thought out and planned and served with well kept Ales and a superb wine list...We've eaten here on a number of occasions and whether it was a Monday or Saturday night or a Sunday lunch every visit has left me wanting to come back for more.!! Our latest visit was a Sunday lunch for my Fathers birthday and from the minute we walked in we were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for any of the brilliant staff members, the Roast Beef here is defiantly recommended. My advice, book a table, get there early and enjoy a drink by the fire, sit back, relax and look forward to some impressive food with some fantastic first class service.. I Will be back in a heart beat thats for sure.. Amazing Amazing Amazing.
