“Lovely food”
Reviewed April 18, 2013

Went here as we couldn't get a table next door in Pierre Victoire.

Service was good and fast, and the food excellent. Great atmosphere.

Had 5 dishes between two, which was sufficient but not stuffing!

“Great food”

We opted for the set menu which was amazing, the food just kept coming out. Definitely recommend. Is quite a squeeze but that all adds to the atmosphere

“Top Tapas”
Reviewed April 14, 2013

The restaurant is quite a squeeze and we were unfortunately located quite close to the rest room. Staff are very friendly and as we had gone for dinner on Saturday night, there was also entertainment in the form of Spanish dancers and singers. This was quite loud and with the lack of space quite restrictive. The jugs of sangria are a must, not just easy to drink but were made well. We had a number of dishes between us. I am particularly fussy about my calamari and use it to gauge a restaurant if they cook it. These were golden, light, with a slight crisp to the batter and not chewy at all- so they passed! Everything else was flavorsome and tasty, but the portion size per tapas plate was not so much between four. I was still left slightly hungry after the meal so perhaps if you are going in a group order more dishes than you think you actually would require or order more after you realise you are still hungry

As it was a Saturday night we went at 7pm and it really did fill up suggesting its popularity. I would definitely go back again.for the quality of food, but perhaps on a weekday as it was rather load and buzzing if you wanted to take children with you or just hear what you fellow dinners were actually saying.

“Average tapas restaurant”
Reviewed April 11, 2013

This a cute-looking restaurant and we had high hopes that it would serve delicious food of the quality we've eaten in Spain. There was nothing to complain about but we were a little dissapointed... I would say that the quality is very similar to La Tasca except the portions are a bit more generous.

“Friendly atmosphere, tasty food and good wine”
Reviewed April 2, 2013

Tapas was the request and so after reading some good reviews I booked Al Andalus. We had a small but adequate table tucked into a private corner of the restaurant. The choice of tapas was varied. We opted for some lentils, cheese and spinach balls, goats cheese with honey and beef with prunes. All of the dishes were lovely and the Rioja that we ordered complimented it perfectly. Service was friendly. All in all a lovely last meal on our quick visit to Oxford.
