The Bangkok House looks nothing special from outside in a nondescript terrace of commercial buildings. However, its interior decor is unmistakably Thai, with abundant hard wood panelling and the characteristic vaulted ceiling.
The waiting staff were friendly and efficient. The menu offered the usual dishes and it was good to see a page dedicated to vegetarian dishes.
Service was about right - not so fast that you doubt it was cooked freshly but not so slow that it grated.
Presentation and taste were fine and lived up to my expectations without wowing me.
Dining in a group, with the mixed starter platter and a few drinks each, our bill worked out at £25 each.
