The main building and grounds are beautiful, with a lovely view of the river and rowers. Great facilities and the staff are really helpful. The rooms are basic and clean, could do with a freshen up soon. I have stayed a few times and would recommend asking for a river facing room, as the rooms at the back are near the main road.

Room Tip: I recommend asking for a river facing room, as the rooms at the back are near the main road.

Henley Festival recently announced a move down river from the current venue to Henley Business School. Having held an event there, I can understand why. The facilities and the level of service are excellent. We had 50 guests, many staying overnight. All spoke highly of the beauty of the location, the quality of the food for this fine dining event, the comfort of the accommodation and the level of service provided by the attentive staff, both in the conference office and those serving at the event. There was also the benefit of the health centre, although we were disappointed to find the outdoor swimming pool closed, which we were told was due to lack of use! ...and suggest that they revisit that decision and incorporate its use with the health club. The Business School was also the venue for a visit by the Queen last year, so comes with the highest recommendation.

Many thanks for your valued feedback, this is much appreciated and I will ensure that this is shared with our staff. The team at Greenlands really enjoy catering for events and looking after our guests is our priority. I note your comments reference the closure of our swimming pool, this decision was not taken lightly, the main reasons were environmental and lack of use. We are however exploring other ideas to increase the 'leisure' experience at Greenllands, so watch this space!

My son and his fiancé had their wedding here. Friends and family stayed 2nights. The staff were quietly efficient and looked after us all beautifully. Nothing was too much trouble and we were treated as royalty! The rooms were lovely and had all amenities. The setting was fabulous. Food was first class. Thanks to absolutely everyone at Henley for making it a perfect weekend!

Why this lovely venue isn't booked up for weeks ahead I'll never know. At £150 B&B for two for two nights just outside Henley-on-Thames including a return taxi ride to the town it's an absolute steel. The house is a wonderful building, the rooms are spacious and a short walk away from the main house, The lounges and the dining room are enormous looking out to the banks of the Thames with the scullers doing their thing and joggers pounding the banks opposite - makes you feel exhausted just sitting in luxury watching,

Breakfasts are on a buffet basis and range from fruit and cereals up to the gut busting full English and toast. Can't comment on the dinner menu as there wasn't enough people staying to open the restaurant but we were more than happy to have selected from the bar menu and enjoy a bottle of house white on the house by way of compensation.

All in all a fantastic weekend we'll remember for a long time. It was our good fortune that Wetherspoon's Catherine Wheel didn't have a room with a walk in shower.

Room Tip: Room 825 is on the ground floor and does have a walk in shower and only a short stroll to the main b...

Thank you for the excellent feedback, this is very much appreciated and motivational for our staff.
We are sorry that the main restaurant was closed on Saturday however glad you enjoyed the bar meal and complimentary wine. This is the first time we have offered this deal with the complimentary taxi to Henley, glad to hear that it worked for you.
Best regards

Stayed a week for a course. The location is good. There are some good running trails in the hills on the other side of the road - running along the wetlands was very(!) wet (read: ankle deep water/mud at places).

As for the rooms: well it was back to the student days at Paddock House - rather basic and a strange green color on the walls.

Foodwise: Breakfast was fine - lunch and dinner so-so.

Many thanks for your feedback, we are pleased you enjoyed the location and wonderful walks, as for the weather it has been particularly wet this year so yes, lots of water about!. We note your comments regarding Paddock House, we are pleased to advise that we are currently exploring the possibility of building new bedrooms at Greenlands.
We value your comments as this will assist us in improving our facility and services going forward.

Stayed for two nights for a course I attended. The main building and grounds are grand and pleasant; a really good environment for study. Sitting along the bank of the Thames and watching rowers early in the morning will definitely prepare you for the day ahead.
The facilities are modern with all the equipment you could require, including free wifi. It is all very practical and comfortable.
I stayed in Thames Court on the advice of other reviews; the rooms have everything you would expect. Only tiny details/defects, but perfectly fine.
The food is as good as others reviews state and not over priced.

As a heads up, if travelling by rail, expect a taxi from Henley to the business school to be £6-£7. Taxi rank in station carpark.

We attended one of Greenlands organised Christmas Parties. Didn't expect the food to be anything great, as we've been to many of these organised events, but I can say the food, service and venue were excellent. We booked a room for the night at a very good rate, this included breakfast, which again was excellent. There were always plenty of helpful and pleasant staff on hand.

Room Tip: Rooms are based a short walk from the hotel itself, but are nicely laid out around a small quiet cou...
