We spent a week in this lovely house, we enjoyed some beautiful summer weather, so we had our breakfast and all of our suppers in the backyard. It was perfect for barbecuing. During the day we visited some adorable nearby villages where we had lunch. We also loved walking along the river of Thames, and we also experienced very nice trails in the same nearby area. In Henley, we found everything we needed, a perfect supermarket, a cool wine store and several great restaurants.
What a lovely place to stay in Henley! The location is very central while still being private in a charming neighborhood. Paul's place is very light and inviting. We especially enjoyed having a cup-o-tea in the private back yard. The newly renovated bathroom was a very nice surprise (Heated tile floors!!). The bedrooms were very spacious and clean, with ample wardrobe space. Paul was a gracious host, even giving us some local's tips on which restaurants and pubs to go to!
Paul's place in Henley made the perfect starting point for us to do day trips to Oxford, Reading and London, but we also enjoyed a lovely day in town strolling along the Thames, as there is plenty to do in charming old Henley!
We will definitely be back!
This was a perfect place, for us - together with some good friends (a couple with two children) - a close walk to everything we wanted to see, beautiful walks by the river, including an adorable Wind in the Willows experience much loved by children (and grown ups) of all ages, restaurants an pubs, Dusty Springfields grave, and - of course the place is nearest neighbour to George Harrisons Henley House - Friar Park.
With children the garden, of course made a big differens, also to spend the evenings outside with barbecue and a bloody mary. Everything was provided to ensure an enjoyable stay - for four nights - and five days. We´ll visit again.
We had a lovely 2 night weekend stay for a family wedding in Henley, me and my husband, around our 70s and our daughter and son in law and their daughter Ophelia of 3. It's roomy and has pleasant garden (and BBQ) with elevated view over Chilterns. It just needs modernisation, decor's a bit tired too, and a 2nd loo! There were 2 double bed bedrooms but do wish, as in a lot of other places, one of these could have twin beds that could be joined together or apart, they do abroad, why can't we here in the UK usually?! Not cheap, not over expensive but a good price for Henley. Good for a short stay (if modernised, longer) in beautiful Henley which can be reached with a fine walk for younger people (there is a hill!)

I booked this house for myself and my bridesmaids over my wedding weekend.
The house was as described and was everything we needed during that weekend. The owner was also great at responding to any queries in the lead up to my stay.
Clear, easy to follow instructions are given for working appliances in the home and there is definitely a family home feel to the property.
Location is great as it just a walk from the town centre.
We enjoyed our stay and were very comfortable in the property.
Four adults and two children spent some lovely days in Henley and stayed in this very comfortable and convenient house, situated next to George Harrison's Friar Park. Close enough to walk to the city center and remote enough to be undisturbed by the liveliness of the charming village. The place is a good point of departure for excursions to Hambledon, Toad Hall and Stoner Park, in addition to lots of amazing and charming villages and mansions.
This holiday home gave us a space to relax and get away. We even were able to find our own spaces and spread out instead of being on top of each other. The beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed a restful time away. It was great for the kids and they enjoyed the bunk beds and outdoor play space in the back garden.
