Stayed 2 nights at the Row Barge whilst in Henley for a PureStretch course. I was lucky enough to get a parking spot outside, as parking in Henley is not easy and even accomodation in Henley itself is hard to find. The Row Barge is within easy walking reach of everything in Henley (shops, station, river, etc) and just around the corner from my course venue. As others have already said, the place has character, winding stairs to negociate and charming (very clean rooms) with comfortable beds and a great power shower. The staff were exceptionally welcoming at all times and took time out to have a chat, which is appreciated when travelling alone. You can order breakfast (whatever you want, as the chef will cook prepare it for you) for a specific time and it was delicious. The whole place has character and even though I did not eat in the restaurant (homework to do), I heard from the locals that the food was always fantastic. It is an Inn/pub and noise is expected, but it was not too bad, just a little merry making and I had checked beforehand to make sure that there were no wedding or birthday celebrations during my stay. I felt safe and cosy and very comfortable. Hope to visit again when visiting next. Thank you everyone at the Row Barge..
