Food and service were very good - our waitress Katie was fantastic, nothing was to much bother, she was so friendly and efficient. The specials are really worth trying. Excellent children's menu.

waiting !!
Loch Fyne in Henley-on-Thames is a very nice place in a very nice location with a large area for relaxing with sofas.
I went for lunch with 20 colleagues, We had ordered all the meals beforehand. However...We had to wait about an hour between each course. We arrived at 12.30 and a friend had to leave at 2.30 and she only had her soup which was tepid and tasteless. The tempura was greasy and barely warm, the paté was.. well paté.
Second courses were ordinary, the duck fairly tasty. and desserts
well ...ordinary.
This is a great place which has great potential.
Shame about slow service, ( young waiter did his best) other waiter had an attitude...It needs a professional and friendly hand and maybe a new chef...Very disappointing.

This is the second Loch Fyne I have been to and both have lived up to expectations. The other one was in Ascot earlier this year.
Loch Fyne in Henley is a wonderful restaurant with a warm reception as you walk through the door and very helpful service from the staff.

Some of the fresh fish and lobster are displayed around the restaurant and the fantastic smell of the food hits you as you walk through the door.

We had a seafood platter for starters along with some fresh bread.
We followed this with the Lobster and Lemon Sole which was cooked superbly,
The Sweets were just as good.

We will definitely return here in the future when we are in Henley.
Thanks to the very helpful staff of the Loch Fyne who made this a very enjoyable eating experience.

The waiter balances grumpy Italian with attentive service and distracting the kids at the table perfectly.
Not sure there's a more relaxed restaurant as far eating with a toddler goes - good kids menu, helium balloons, crayons, lots to see, interactive staff.
Food is typically good, but is a bit pricier than it needs to be.
Mussels were tiny this time, but could have been the season.
Great chocolate tart!

On our way to Le Manoir for a birthday celebration we stopped off in Henley looking for a specifically light lunch, given our plans for the evening. Neither my wife nor I had eaten at a Loch Fyne establishment previously and their restaurant in Henley, on the market place, looked inviting, doubly so on a grey, wet Wednesday lunchtime. Indeed, one enters into a very warm and friendly bar, through a lounge area and into a surprisingly large, light and airy dining room. We were seated immediately by a very friendly waiter, given menus and asked for a drink order - a beer and a Red Snapper.....gin-based Bloody Mary wearing a giant prawn on top! We went for the set menu, almost too cheap at £10.50 for two courses, no daft hidden extras, a side dish included in the price. I had Potted Mackerel and my wife Fish Cakes, both superb. These were followed by Dab, on the bone, cooked to perfection with a crisp skin and moist white fish. Really, really good, as were the French fries. This was washed down with an excellent, cold Picpoul de Pinet. The entire bill came to less than £45, exceptional value. If the Henley Loch Fyne is indicative of the brand then we will be back, Henley well worth a visit either way.....
