The Annex is private, warm, with an excellent walk in shower, good quality linen and soft (Christy) towels and a comfy bed. It's a quiet rural spot with a lovely garden viewed from a picture window in the lounge/diner. The TV/DVD/Skye/radio system worked well, the wifi was excellent and there was a good selection of books, walk guides and local info. The kitchen is well equipped and, though the fridge was quite small, the owners made their chest freezer available in their nearby conservatory.
The owners were really friendly and informative with lots of local knowledge. All in all an excellent weeks walking from a comfortable base.
We went to an area which was so far unknown to us. Oxfordshire and surrounding county's were on our agenda. Via the internet we came across Swereview Cottage. It was great. The cottage itself was very clean and it was equipped with all you need on a holiday. The heating was working very well, although there was no real need for it. The owners are very friendly. An homemade cake will be ready and there will be (wild) flowers on your table. In the nearby area, there are many impressive National Trust properties and of course also close by are Oxford and Stratford. Conclusion: Swereview is the place to go !

The annexe was lovely. There was nothing lacking and the grounds are a delight. We were made very welcome with a lovely home made apple cake. We couldn'T fault anything. Anna be even provided a disabled ramp for us. Would certainly recommend and would book again. Ideal for walking or, as we did, for lazy days and short trips to picturesque places.
We had a very comfortable, enjoyable week at Swereview Cottage. The quiet setting in a small village was very peaceful. The helpful, friendly owners live next door and provided us with a lovely cake, milk ,tea bags etc. Sorry it was the wrong time of year to see owls arriving at the owl box (the owners have a camera installed) but we did see woodpeckers and tree creepers in the very nearby trees. There are plenty of interesting places to visit not too far away-The Falcolnry centre,British Motor Museum,National Trust properties,Broughton Castle etc.
