Stopped here on a road trip and it is well worth the detour, set in the tranquil little village of Tew it is a historic 14th century pub and is a diamond of a place.
Nice tables out the front ipto sit and watch the world and a good selection of beers inside. They could do with a couple more bottled ciders for this hot weather!
I would recommend is to anyone passing though and it would be a lovely place to stay for a couples weekend.
Food was great, i had a mixed meat and cheese ploughmans even though it wasnt on the menu they were really flexible in sorting it out and the portion size was good and quality wise it was fantastic.
Another good point was it was locally sourced which is something i like to see.
Thanks

I have reviewed the falkland arms before but this time it is on the food. I ordered the pork steak served with black pudding mash and vine roasted tomatoes served with a blue cheese sauce. It was divine! My better half ordered the beetroot and blue cheese risotto which was again gorgeous. I also visited the website before going and they offered a £5 discount on the meal. Great value and great taste. Service was not fast, but personally I think this was due to the fact they were actually cooking the food and not simply putting pre cooked food in a microwave (which sadly so many places do these days as we all want our food fast).

The staff are all very friendly and helpful.

Will I go again. YES

This very old pub (16th century) is in the middle of a peaceful scenery typical from the Cotswolds. The surroundings and the building itself are great. The service is friendly and nice. There is a wide wariet of meals at reasonable places and the beer is good... Stop there during your trip in this region!

This is a great dog friendly pub with a nice 4 mile circular walk around it if you want it, they even supply you with a map if you want one.
The menu is very pleasing to both meat eaters and vegetarians alike and there is a jar of dog biscuits for the canine patrons.
We found the staff very friendly and helpful and were happy to serve us even though we were a bit late. Well worth a visit and Is set in a pretty village with a carpark nearby.
