We stayed here as a family of 9 last weekend and the property is lovely. But the standard of maintenance is very poor. The dishwasher was not working when we arrived but this was not mentioned. Beds had only been made up for 8, although this was quickly remedied. Later we found that one toilet seat was cracked and 2 others had fastenings missing. On Monday morning we were plunged into darkness with water pouring down the wall in the boiler cupboard which fused the electrics. My daughter made the booking and rang the contact number, but no one came before we left that morning. The owner has been in touch since and says all this has now been fixed, but has offered no recompense! So do check that all of this has been sorted before you go or book!
I cannot recommend this place enough, it is truly beautiful yet feels so restful and homely. My family took over the space for weekend of my wedding and it was just perfect. Loads of areas to relax and get some space, yet great communal rooms for a family get together.
Simon was really really helpful and accomdating, and we felt completely welcome and supported if we needed anything. Includes great local recommendations and all round ideas for the area.
We used every room over four days, and no one wanted to leave.
Thank you for everything, I really hope we'll be back!
Stayed with family the weekend of my wedding. The cottage is just beautiful, and is a gorgeous background to many of our photos. Everything is done to such a high standard, none of us wanted to leave! The bedrooms are all really great - although the master really was something extra special.
The cottage is well equipped, although the men did panic as there were only 2 pint glasses in the cupboard!!! :-)
Simon (the owner) was really friendly, gave us a guided tour and was very helpful.
We would stay again in a heartbeat, and would highly recommend to anyone. Can imagine it being great for hen parties, birthday or family celebrations. Christmas would definitely be something special at the Brewery.
Stayed at the Brewery with my family, a group of nine, to celebrate my 50th birthday. A spacious and wonderfully furnished house. Located a short stroll from the main street in Burford with plenty of restaurants, pubs and shopping. Couldn't have asked for a better place to bring family together. Thank you Simon for creating such an amazing space.
We all had a brilliant stay at The Brewery lovely homely house and great location.
Village was delightful and plenty of choices of where to eat .. Good base for all locations what more could you ask for?!?!
Superb........Thank you Simon
Stayed with friends in this wonderful property. The Brewery is well situated on Sheep Street just off the main shopping street but easy walk to everything. Each bedroom was beautifully furnished and there was plenty of crockery and glasses for our group of 6. The fire was lit for us and we had enough kindling and logs to light for each of the 3 nights we visited. If you are looking for a touch of luxury in a great location you can't go wrong with the Brewery.
