The hotel is centrally located and convenient for anywhere in the Cotswolds. I asked for a basic picnic for the two of us, and was given a banquet, which was delicious. We stayed in the bunting room, which was clean and comfortable. Our evening meal was also excellent. We would highly recommend, and hope to stay again.

The room was dark and featureless and looked out onto a roof where there were cigarette butts . I had checked in late evening and gone straight out again so when I went to make tea in the morning I found there were no tea bags in the room and the downstairs was still locked up at 7 30 .
The shower although I let it run for 5 minutes was only luke warm and the bathroom had a very unpleasant smell of blocked drains. ( I do hope they've sorted that). The breakfast, although good ingredients was also only luke warm...I suggest that with the coming season the hotel should look to upping its game .I would not choose to stay there agin

Stayed on a KGB voucher which included 2 nights B&B with a meal and a bottle of wine. The evening meal was excellent, the staff friendly and professional and the location of the hotel in Burford makes it ideal to explore the region. The room was clean and a good size but perhaps could do with a little refurbishment. Our room "Eider" was at the front of the hotel, so we had traffic noise fron HGV's early in the morning and also a fair bit of noise from a pub opposite. Other rooms I'm sure would have been much more peaceful. All in all, a good place to stay and great value if using a KGB voucher.

Room Tip: Don't have room at the front of the hotel

What a lovely place this is, lovely people making you feel so much at home .We stayed in the Kingfisher room quiet and such a nice bed having been to quite a few hotels recently we really enjoyed this break. We had the steak for our evening meal so tender but such a big meal we could not do it justice also the breakfasts were so generous we asked for something light and had just what we ordered even though it was not on the menu Thank you to Andy and his lovely team we will be back !!

This is a return visit to the Golden Pheasant following its discovery last December and its a great little place to stay - welcoming and comfortable! The foods superb and the location ideal to explore the region though Burford itself is idyllic and offers good food and shopping options - Englishness at its best! The rooms are warm and inviting and the pub offers a good selection of drinks and meals and the Italian selection is excellent in choice and quality - and we're regulars to Italy! The Pad Thai is a great starter and the Steaks brilliant quality - and desserts have to be tried - to put it simply I haven't had a thing I don't like or that could be improved here over either visit (and am hoping for a return of the seafood selection at some stage!!)... Thanks to Andy, Tim and the team for another great stay! Ciao!

Room Tip: Rear for quiet - Front for Lively (at weekends!)

We spent two nights here on a KGB deal. Excellent value for money. Room was clean, comfortable, and freshly decorated. Staff very friendly and helpful. Three good real ales on tap. Chose steak for dinner - highly recommended - locally sourced, tender and tasty, cooked to perfection. Burford is a lovely little town. Can recommend the Golf Club - nice course, welcoming people. We would certainly consider a return visit, even without the voucher reduction.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are quieter (ie not on main road)
