We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at the Burford Lodge. The service was fantastic. We arrived on a cold and rainy afternoon and were given a very warm welcome. We were offered a cup of tea before we even went up to our room. The bar lounge and breakfast room are delightful with very comfortable chairs, nice reading lamps and a fire was always going. A great room to sit and relax in. Our bedroom had a wonderful large and very comfortable four poster bed. We were offered advice on where to eat in town and and the best surrounding towns to visit. We had trouble with Internet service but after a short time were so relaxed we no longer cared! Breakfast which is included was delicious as well as plentiful.

We stayed a couple of nights, and wish it had been longer. This Hotel has been renovated and decorated to a high standard, in keeping with the old property. The bedrooms are beautiful, with nice touches, the bed was extremely comfortable - best night's sleep I have had for ages. Hosts, Sally and Phil, are very welcoming and friendly. I note the other comments about being off the main road - (easy access) our room was at the front and due to the effective double glazing we were not troubled by road noise at all. Breakfasts were superb with lots of choice and plenty of toast and refills of coffee! We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and will definitely be returning.

Room Tip: If you visit in the summer and really do get bothered by a bit of road noise, then ask for a room at...

We stayed for a couple of days and had a wonderful time. This is a lovely hotel with some lovely touches. The bedroom was terrific and the bed so comfortable. We enjoyed fabulous breakfasts and Hotel furnishings were first class. If you are staying in the area then this is the hotel we would recommend.

Room Tip: Try the Reynolds room - it has a really comfortable bed

Very nice b&b. Well decorated and comfortable rooms, spotlessly clean. Breakfast very good with a great selection of fresh fruit plus cooked options. I would have given it a full excellent rating if it had been slightly off the main road which was pretty noisy but wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. Excellent value for money and a very friendly welcome.

My friend and I book this hotel in april, we are very glad we did as it was fully booked and we would have missed out. Sally and Phill are the best hosts. We had a really great stay at thier hotel. The room was very nice, clean and comfortable. Sally was always on hand, and nothing was too much trouble. They are not doing evening meals at the hotel but the walk to town was only 10 mins, and there are many places to eat,( we recommend the Bull hotel).
the hotel is ideally situated for walking in the cotswolds. We will be back next year, and are looking forward to it already.

From the moment we parked the car in their immense gravel car park to the time we drove out to our next destination, each minute spent was a joy.

Sally and Phill recently took over this place and what an incredible B&B they have transformed it into. We had a room on the top floor and although it faces out to the car park with the main road to the side, we had no issues with traffic noise. The room was charmingly decorated and it is obvious Sally put a lot of thought into coordinating each piece of furniture, right down to the wallpaper and bed spread. She is constantly looking for ways to characterise the B&B further and we were pleasantly surprised when we came back from a trip that she had changed the curtain in our room to a pull up fabric blind that matches the entire room.

The English breakfast was excellent as was the buffet spread of juices, cereal and fruits. Service was prompt and always, always with a smile. We were also given pointers on where to go around the Cotswolds including "pub grub" at the absolutely divine The Feathered Nest so with Sally's recommendation, we had a truly fantastic time. Location is also fantastic - you can walk to the town centre in less than 10 minutes and it is a centralized location for exploring the Cotswolds.

Only problem is, they raised the bar so high that we were disappointed with the other B&Bs we stayed in after that!

Sally and Phil, we cannot thank you enough. We did not feel that we are your paying guests because you made us feel like family. As what a true B&B should be.

We will see you soon!
