We stayed overnight at Caroline and Richard's beautiful home whilst on our way to the Air Tattoo. The hosts could not have been more helpful. We arrived and Caroline made us tea and scones which we ate in their picturesque garden; our room was massive and so nicely decorated and the location was great (near enough to Burford without actually being in it).

Really fantastic - highly recommended.

We recently spent 4 nights in this wonderful B&B in Taynton, near Burford. The superb house is located in a quiet village that provides a very convenient access to the Cotswold. The home and rooms and superb, luxurious and comfortable. The owners are there to provide the best experience, from the initial welcome, to the breakfasts and are also available to provide great advice for restaurants in the area. We had a wonderful time at Box Tree Cottage and would definitely recommend it to any couple traveling in the area.

The nicest hosts you can imagine. Really wonderful room and peaceful garden. Just as you are thinking a Cotswold cottage should be. Tea and scones on arrival, a very good Full English breakfast just to your likings and as final touch an invitation for wine or other drinks in the garden at night. Sorryly we had to depart after three wonderful, restful and peaceful nights. We can't recommend Box Tree Cottage too much. Will be back for sure on our next visit to England. Thanks a lot to Caroline and Richard for the nice days we had.

Room Tip: Had the room with ensuite shower room. Really recommendable with views to village and church.

The term "Quintessentially English" is much hackneyed these days, but if anyone can find a bed and breakfast that fits this epithet more appropriately, I would be delighted to see it. The village of Taynton is in itself enough to draw in the traveller hungry for a taste of what is great about England, but the incredible attention to detail that Richard and Caroline Dewolf apply to making sure their home is a welcome refuge to anyone lucky enough to stay with them. Every little part of this experience is absolutely spot on, the décor in the rooms, the toiletries all exuding class, the fresh flowers, the fabulous garden, and above all else the DeWolfs themselves. Don't take my word for it, give it a try, you will definitely not be disappointed!

We recently spent two nights at this wonderful little retreat. We would highly recommend anyone to stay here to enjoy the divine rooms, wonderful breakfast and fabulous afternoon cream tea. The owners couldn't do enough for us. Everything was perfect and done to a superb standard. Can't wait to return soon.

We stayed at Box Tree Cottage for the weekend with our friends. From the comfortable rooms, spotlessly clean bathrooms, tea and scones with jam and cream on the lawn to a delicious breakfast each morning everything was just perfect. Caroline and Richard were excellent hosts and made sure we all felt welcome and enjoyed our stay. Taynton is ideally located to explore the Cotswolds, Burford is only a mile or so away with plenty of places to eat, drink or shop. We would certainly stay here again and would highly recommend Box Tree Cottage to visitors to the area.
