Absolutely love this hotel, this was my second stay and have booked in for New Year. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and well equipped. Lovely spacious bathrooms and gorgeous comfy beds. The bar and dining area are also clean and run by very friendly and accommodating staff. The owners are very warm and welcoming.
The food is outstanding. The breakfast is buffet style with high quality ingredients freshly prepared, served and topped up. Fresh coffee, tea and toast is bought to your table.
The dinner menu is superb, the only downfall is what to have with such a vast array of very very tasty dishes to choose from. The Slovakian Goulash is one of my favourites, but the steaks are exceptional. All main dishes are served with fresh veg or salad. with generous but not overwhelming portions. The waiting staff are attentive but not 'in your face'!
Desserts are fabulous from the Eton Mess to the white chocolate and malteser cheesecake to the awesome sticky toffee pudding.
The hotel is located just off a roundabout but this is by no means a problem, on the contrary it just means that you are close to all sorts of attractions like the wildlife park, Swindon and Witney for shopping and also nearby is the beautiful Bourton on the water. The little town of Burford is a 5 minute walk down the road and is very pretty.
I love love love this hotel and would highly recommend a visit, especially of you want to relax and enjoy and fantastically warm and friendly atmosphere.

I have been coming to the Cotswold Gateway for dining for a number of years and I must say it gets better each time I visit but has always been brilliant! The menu has something for everyone and will really tickle your taste buds! I can recommend the chicken with vegetables, potatoes (or fat or thin fries) and an amazing mushroom creamy sauce. Really delicious, as are the puddings.
The bar area has a great atmosphere and the staff are always welcoming, helpful and friendly.

I can also recommend their cavery, served on Sundays where you will be treated to a variety of beautifully cooked meats, succulent vegetables and lashings of sauce, yorkshires and gravy. Value for money! It isn't cheap but what do you want quality or dissatisfaction! I know which I'd choose The Cotswold Gateway!

This hotel was very clean and comfortable ideal for stop overs for one or two nights. I wouldn't want to use it for a holiday stay because it was on a busy roundabout. The staff were friendly and polite. The hotel dinning room was clean well laid out and roomy. The whole place had a nice atmosphere.

Have been visiting the area fo a number of years on business and stayed in a number of hotels nearby. The Cotswold gateway is by far the best hotel I have stayed at in the area. The staff are friendly and will stop at nothing to meet your needs. Rooms are comfortable and clean. However by far the best element here is the food, a wide ranging menu excellently prepared and the portion sizes would satisfy a giant. The daily specials are always spectacular. I noticed that there is one terrible review by a customer who couldn't get a table as they were fully booked. How can you rate a place when you didn't actually stay/eat there and the fact that it was fully booked should actually indiacte the place is far from terrible.

Room Tip: My favourite room is number 6

My hubby and I stayed here for 2 nights10&11th July to go to a wedding. It is a lovely oldy worldy hotel, very clean and comfortable. We had an evening meal and breakfasts which were tasty. We loved our room (3) it was cool but cosy with a tv, tea and coffee making facilities. Loved the atmosphere. We would love to return. It left us having really enjoyed our 2 day stay
