Lovely lunch on horrible winter Saturday. Sat by open fire for prelunch drinks. Cocktails were inventive and delicious. We all chose from set menu and sat in front small traditional dining room which was cool until they put on supplementary heaters. Good without remarkable service. Choice of two starters, two mains. All delicious. They upsold us fabulous chips and the slimmest green beans which were dressed with a shallot vinaigrette. We all enjoyed the food. My fish was served with a coconut cream sauce and ( what was called on the menu) rice cakes. I hadnot tried rice cooked like this before. Lovely texture and went so well within the fish.
Our last visit to this restaurant was a couple of years ago and we vowed not to return. However, it just shows you need to give things a second chance. I recommend it now after this visit.
