The room was basic but clean and comfortable. They did not have a toothbrush in the hotel necessitating a 10 min walk to tesco - granted not a disaster but still a pain for something so obviously needed. Parking is not the best either - the designated car park is 5 mins walk away and requires payment up front - not subsidised parking. Who carries £11 in coins around these days! The shower was failing apart ( I forgot to raise this) but at the end of the day when your tired you just don't want the hassle sometimes! Breakfast - adequate buffet £7.00 if paid night before. At £49 for Sunday night premier Inn prices not bad really.

Room Tip: Check the shower!

Spent two nights here while dropping my son off at Uni. Rooms are not great - beds and pillows really hard. Parking is in a warehouse over the railway tracks which is a pain with luggage. You can only pay for parking in coins...
The fire alarm went off at 5 in the morning and had to troop down 10 flights of stairs. Waited on the road for an hour then were allowed back inside - false alarm. No apologies or compensation offered. Very happy to leave.

Not great at all. I booked this for one night for myself and 3 friends to celebrate one of our 40th birthdays. I had booked a room for 3 adults comprising of a double bed and a single bed and from the website the room looked presentable and had matching beds and enough room. Granted the hotel was very busy but I was appalled really by the room we were allocated. it was clearly a double room which had been badly made up for an extra person. Instead of the expected single bed being a match for the double there was a single bed squashed into the corner, this meant the table and chair in the room were shoved up towards the dressing table. There was clumps of dust just under the bed and there were plastic tags lying about from clothes items or something just under the bed. The bed itself had no headboard apart from one stuck at the foot of the bed and this was shabby in appearance with fraying and holes in it and obviously not at the right end of the bed anyway to serve any purpose. The bed did not have a duvet on it and the sheet on the mattress was not a fitted sheet and in fact didn't even cover the foot end of the mattress from about my calf down, therefore leaving quite a bit of the mattress exposed. The room I felt was a double room only and they had squeezed this bed in but charged us for a triple room. the room only had two cups and two glasses and so these were further signs it was only really a double. there was little space really for 3 adults to move around in and hence a further indicator that it was a double.

On a positive note some of the bar staff were great and a receptionist was really friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was pretty good too and had a good selection. We stayed on a saturday and there was no room service offered ( I guess cos it is so busy they just cannot staff it) but I was a bit disappointed not to be offered any assistance in getting a rather large full ice bucket with champagne and 3 glasses upstairs by myself, lol

Stayed here again folowing the excellent experience last time (see previous review.) I still liked the room, though it was a little smaller than the last one, and the bed was comfy. I also had a couple of great meals in the restaurant while I was there. However, I was slightly irritated by the fact that no bar of soap is provided (they have liquid soap but this isn't really suitable for washing your face, although it's fine for handwashing.) Wi-fi is also not free in your room and costs £10 for 24 hours - rather too much in my view.

The main problem I had was that someone actually opened the door and came into my room while I was in there! It was another customer, not a member of staff. When I went down afterwards the manager admitted that due to a "clerical error" someone had been given a key to my room. I should point out that this was only admitted to after I complained - you would have thought they would have taken the initiative to contact me and apologise before I went down. As I said to them, if that guest had been dishonest, he could have stolen all my belongings, thanks to their carelessness. Given this, it rather sticks in my craw that they have a big notice on the inside of your room door saying that they do not accept any responsibility for any theft of your personal belongings. Even if it's their fault?

Despite the fact that everything else was good, this is such a serious error to make that it does make you wonder about their systems and their organisation. If you can't feel secure about your room, you can't relax. If it hadn't been for that incident, I would probably be giving them another good review, though.

Stayed here for my Hen Do, staff are friendly enough but the bar was understaffed for the amount of parties in there ( just 1 lady on her own ) while the reception had 4 people sat there doing nothing! we wernt informed of the deposit required for each room booked but the receptionist was very understanding and only took for one room instead of 5. The restaurant isnt very big for the amount of rooms in the hotel. The beds are ok, pillows are hard though which isnt for me, but the room was spotless. My biggest upset is that 2 jackets were left behind and we have tried for 2 days to get to speak to house keeping to get them back but got a call today to say there were no jackets! I dont think they magically dissappeared!!!! On this basis I wouldn't recommend this hotel, next time away will pick a premier inn :)

We have stayed in the Jury's Inn many times when we have had a few days break, it is in an excellent location about a 10min walk to the centre. All of the staff are very friendly, always welcoming and willing to help. The rooms are clean and maintained very well. Would recommend this hotel for a few days break! The only thing is there is no parking at the hotel and the nearest car park is a couple of minutes walk away. Overall it is a good value for money hotel and I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Only stayed one night, the service was good and the room clean and comfortable

Breakfast is Buffet style and the room is very light and comfortable . Tasty food and a good selection . £10 is a lot though if paid for separately

The lifts are quick and the corridors well lit

Parking is non existant on site but a private car park next door charges £11 a day! 5 min walk. Right next to train station though but with buildings in the way makes it 10 min I reckon

Nice walk along canal to town, but not that easy to access all the bars and restaurants

A decent place to stay if you are on business but not ideal for a pleasure trip .

Nice lobby bar though:)
