We chose this hotel because of it's proximity to the M1 and we were just looking for a basic hotel for one night. As with all Premier inns, this does exactly as it says on the tin. Reasonably sized, clean room, comfy bed and pleasant staff. There was little road noise, which was surprising considering the location of the hotel and the TV was bigger than expected. However, the hotel is showing signs of wear and is a little rough around the edges (worn chairs and tables - just generally a bit tired). As others have said, there is very little around the hotel and due to the horrible weather when we stayed, we braved the Beefeater attached to the hotel. We stood around for a while before we were noticed by anyone, but after a while we were taken to a small (and worn) table. Our waitress was friendly, but she could not make up for the quality of the food which could best be described as bland. It's probably better to go and find a Macdonalds or KFC which offer the same standard of food at a considerably lower price! We did not book to have breakfast, which was probably for the best if our evening meal was anything to go by.

We wanted somewhere clean and comfortable for an overnight stop whilst visiting our son at University, and this fit the bill. Good value for money. Nice to have a choice of soft or firm pillows. The room was quiet. Plenty of parking. Continental breakfast was fine and no waiting as self service. Reception staff very pleasant. Will use again.

Was very impressed with this hotel. Friendly helpful receptionist (thank you Kat) who helped us change rooms as we wanted to be in a quiet location. Very clean room, refurbished fairly recently, with good quality fittings in bathroom. Triple glazed room and a great night's sleep. Premier Inns are just getting better all the time.

Standard rooms but better than average service, especially at the adjoining millers barn.
A solid recommend.

Breakfast choice vast bottomless hash browns, as much bacon sausage and eggs as you can eat.

Chicken and ribs great mains combo, and the melted baked camembert starter is a revelation!

Stayed here again in September on our monthly meeting. Cannot complain about anything. Friendly staff and good food and good nights sleep. Tea and coffee making facilities and ground floor room again.
