Stayed here one night on a recent trip to the UK. Quite a hike from the town centre but cheap parking is a plus, the room was only GBP 29 and was quiet (apart from some road noise such as ambulances). The hotel is being newly refurbished, and should be finished by now. This meant some noise, even in the early morning, but on the flipside the room was completely new. Bathroom and room immaculate, nice hot shower (though I am not a fan of the fixed showerhead) and massive flatscreen TV. Staff uniformly very pleasant and professional. Would stay here again.

Had a great stay at this hotel for an event at the arena. Only 5 mins walk away and saved the hassle of city centre parking! Just £3.00 a night to park at the hotel and plenty of spaces. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area.Refurbished rooms are nice and comfortable. Didn't dine here but restaurant looked very nice with views over the canal. Only 10 mins walk to shops and restaurants.

The hotel itself was undergoing some refurbishments but even with that the staff were flawless and very happy and helpful. Our room was lovely one of the better premiere inns we've stayed in. However the restaurant was a nightmare. We were going to a show and thought we would get something to eat. We ordered a bottle Chablis, which i assume it's not a bottle they sell often as I had to point it out on the menu to 3 members of staff before they could find it. We ordered a sharing platter to start however they has run out of most of the toppings and the pizza we ordered had to be sent back not once but twice (first time they had jalapeños on and I can't do hot food) second time they hadn't cooked it!! However there were two members of staff James & Kiah who were amazing they really went out of their way to do all they could.

Only three tables in at dinner and you'd think it was breakfast rush hour.

waitress spent 95% of her time in the kitchen talking loudly to the chef and ignoring guests, appearing now and then to clear a glass or take out food - ignoring guests who were wanting to order or pay.

Waiter spent a lot of time blustering around on the restaurant again ignoring guests trying to get his attention.

I was finally given my dessert menu by a member of staff from bar/reception who'd stepped in to help his useless colleagues who were clearly 'rushed' of their feet with kitchen banter/clearing empty tables.I was then Ignored by staff for a further 30 mins before finally getting the waiter to take my order.

Will probably stay here again as good location but will eat elsewhere in future. Shame as staff last night were great - clearly Team Lazy on tonight.
