I stayed at the Premier Inn recently on business. It is well located and has a large car park £3 a day which I thought was reasonable. I was shattered when I arrived after driving 300 miles so just wanted a bit of room service but they don't offer that so I had to use the restaurant. Personally I would prefer room service but this isn't something that Premier Inn offer which is fair enough.

Service in the restaurant was friendly but very slow. Food ok, overpriced for what it was though. Breakfast the next morning was superb. Great continental selection and I love that you could order a freshly cooked breakfast, really nice touch.

Room was basic but clean and comfortable enough. It was quite noisy so not the best night's sleep but it's in the middle of a busy town so can't complain. All in all fine, would use again.

Stayed one night in this hotel before going on a coach trip. The staff looked after us wonderfully. We changed rooms as the first one was noisy being above the kitchens. The changed room was lovely and spacious. Had a good nights sleep.

Room Tip: Rooms on the waterside are quieter.

We stayed over on New Years Eve; the staff were very welcoming and pleasant ensuring that you had a nice stay. The room was very clean and adequate for a short stay and we had a comfortable super king-size bed
The location is good for the city centre with a nice walk through the historic Lace Market

We stayed here for 2 nights over the New Year. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and we had a very comfortable family room with excellent large double bed for the adults and comfy sofa bed for the child. The room was a reasonable temperature and you could open the window a bit if you wanted some fresh air. The shower was also good and powerful. The room did look a bit as though it could do with sprucing up but it was perfectly fine for what we wanted. We laughed at the terrible view of wasteland and the dirty river but it was inner-city Nottingham so we weren't expecting anything too spectacular.

Given that it was New Year, we were not too badly disturbed by the noise of other guests which was great. We spend much of the early part of New Year's Eve relaxing in the hotel before going out to a party. Atlhough the TV was good with plenty of channel choice, the screen was a bit small for too myopic middle-aged people to see from the top of the great bed (even with our glasses on!).

You had to pay for parking which was slightly off-putting but it was only £3 a night which is worth it for reasonably secure parking (there's a barrier at the car park).

We've had better breakfasts at the Premier Inn before but it was still nice and made everything good value for money and a nice comfy place in which to start the New Year. It's also close to the train station but we didn't really hear the trains so noise wasn't an issue.

Perfectly located near to Nottingham Station, parking available and about 5 minutes walk to the Arena this hotel has the perfect location for a concert or show. The rooms are predictably Premier Inn and so have all the amenities required. We were given a room for a disabled person and so everything was as a lower level but had more room than normal. The couple we went with had the identical room below us and had a somewhat disturbed night with a stag party noisily returning in the early hours.
The breakfast, at additional cost, was excellent and I cannot praise the staff highly enough for getting everyones orders out in a timely fashion.
The only thing I would say to Premier Inns is that they should be careful advertising the £29 per room deal if they cannot offer it on a freely available basis. I understand that it is a promotional rate but we paid £79 per room plus the cost of breakfast, considerably higher than the advertised £29!!
It would have got a v good rating if the price differential hadn't been so high.

This is the 2nd Christmas we have stayed here whilst visiting family locally. We knew therefore that over the Xmas break it is very quiet with few guests. So, though I am well aware PI do not as policy allow particular room reservations, I did ring after booking on line and asked IF the place wasnt heaving, could we have a room to the side of the Inn over~looking the canal. As I expected no guarantee could be given, but it was hinted it wouldnt be a problem (this was back in prob Sept/Oct).
Just to be sure I rang again a few days before 24th and spoke to Claudia, I wanted to confirm the booking and a 10pm'ish arrival, plus to ask again if was it possible to have 'A' room (any would do) at the side over~looking the canal. She was v.pleasant and polite, couldnt be sure, but confirmed they had very few guests and particularly would make a note of my request/late arrival.
At 8pm'ish, sitting in a restaurant with family enjoying a meal, I got a call from Corinne(?) to ask if I was still going and to enquire our arrival time. No complaint with her ringing, she didnt know, so had to ask, but given there were indeed v.few guests I couldnt understand how information about the booking hadnt been passed on? I had rung especially because I knew we would be arriving late.I also knew then that our request for a room at the side wasnt passed on either (or not read?) and indeed although the place was half empty we didnt. In one sense if it isNT the policy I cant complain, but Ive rung other PI's in the past (at much busier periods) and IF its been possible we have always had our requests satisfied.
Other (admittedly) minor niggles, the element/inside of the kettle was thick with lime scale so looked dirty'ish, the lid was also broken, but it worked and it was late so I didnt complain. And though the bath/shower/loo were spotless (as the main room/bedding was) the wooden bath 'panel' (dont quite know how to describe it) had a lip around the top that was thick with dirt and a the gap below the panel and floor was like wise. Finally, there were large greasy handprints on the double glazed window panels, hard to miss if you were cleaning the room?
We are still great PI fans and always stay with them when we can. Usually it feels a little like going home as everything is so familiar/meets our expectations, but it just wasnt quite up to standard this time, nothing major, but abit disappointing and with plenty of other PI's in the city and a Jurys across the road these little things count.

Good location with a view of the canal, and peaceful even though it is in the city center.
Room was clean and spacious, but a small tv (around 19") no fridge and the bathroom needed some repairs to woodwork.
We stayed for 2 days over Christmas and were out all day Christmas Day, but when we returned the room had not been cleaned. Apparently head of house keeping called in sick.
In fairness the staff were very apologetic and pleasant and offered to come and change the sheets etc. but it was 9:30pm so we said we would do it ourselves.
We were also offered a bottle of wine as compensation.
Various facilities were available at around $5 per day- Wifi, car parking.
Breakfast was at 2 rates: continental at around $8 and full breakfast at around $12.
One drawback was the steps from the car park to the main entrance, not good for the disabled.

Room Tip: Tip: ask for a room at the rear and higher up, this will be quieter and more pleasant.
