Owner description: Wollaton Hall is one of the country's finest Grade One listed Elizabethan mansions, set within 500 acres of beautiful parkland. Experience stunning architecture, exhibitions, a packed events program and an array of wildlife. Go behind the scenes on a variety of guided tours available throughout the year and on demand for groups. Other special events include costumed tours, puppet shows, craft fairs, Segway tours and our popular spooky Ghost Nights (not for the faint hearted!). Visit the Cafe in the Courtyard for light refreshments including freshly ground coffee, specialty teas and home made cakes.

Live within walking distance of wollaton hall and walk around the place regularly. The only drawback is the cheapo's who park all day on the streets instead of paying for parking. Great picnic spot for young families.

The hall is very interesting very well set out and a good variety of specimens. The grounds and lake are a must see too, plenty of picnic space to enjoy your family day out but l am afraid there are a good few people who insist in allowing their dogs to run off Leads even though it is well signed! This stopped my grandchildren enjoying the freedom! Parking is plenty but there is a parking fee.

Its a really nice park with deer and a large lake. You can spend all day here but you do have to pay to park and the parking attendants are always round on their little scooters. You can park for FREE on Harrow Road and Parkside and walk in via the gates. No parking restrictions. The house has not changed a lot over the years and they still have the moth eaten stuffed animals. There is also a very large butterfly collection.

Large open spaces where you can walk, with or without animals!
Lots of wild life, especially at the lake.
Great quiet place in the centre of a busy city.

Lovely park for a walk and relaxation. Hall is also interesting, and free to enter once car parking is paid (season tickets are available) - enforcement has become much more determined in recent times. Cafe has decent choices though can get very busy, and prices a bit high. Ornamental gardens are very attractive in Spring and Summer, as is the camelia house. But a source of frustration is that this attractive building, restored with heritage lottery funding, only seems to be open when gardeners are present and therefore is rarely open at weekends.
