“Interesting and worth visiting”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 24, 2013

We visited Nottingham Castle and the cost of the ticket included this little museum. I thought the price for the two attractions was worth paying. It is a small museum but passes half an hour in an amusing way. We went to the Trip to Jerusalem pub for lunch which is next door. The Castle the pub and Brewhouse yard passed a a pleasant few hours for us.

“Small but interesting”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2013

Next to Nottingham Castle and in the middle of loads of histroic sites this is a small but very interesting museum which explores life in days gone by.They have lots of actrivities in the enclosed, lawned area which are great for kids. You can find Robin Hood and Maid Marion lurking about the area too. Worth a vist if you have an hour or two to spare

“A Little Gem of a Museum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 29, 2013

Loved this museum! Bought a joint ticket for the castle too for around £5 each. A series of rooms / mock-ups of family homes and shops from times gone-by. Wonderful remembering all the shop items and toys. We especially enjoyed the large dolls house which a lady's godmother had spent 7 years making for her. Also enjoyed experiencing the air-raid shelter with the sirens and bombs (you have to ask for the sound effects to be switched on). Man-made underground caves for storing beer etc. Very helpful pleasant staff. The tiny pub Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem is right next door for a drink or bite to eat.
