“If you like this kind of thing.....”

As a gamer from decades now, starting right back with 1st edition D & D, this place is brilliant. I'm tempted to say younger people may get more out of it, but I think that would probably be wrong. I really do think Warhammer World does appeal to everyone.

“fantastic if you like warhammer, still worth a visit if you don't!”
Reviewed September 8, 2013

this id like a theme park for everything war hammer, from the giant tank and space marine outside to the hall of miniatures with the fantastic artwork and miniatures upstairs. Bugmans bar is brilliant, Disney couldn't do better.
All in all we enjoyed our week here playing, painting, watching learning , eating and drinking - amazing.

“Finally got our Visit”
Reviewed September 8, 2013

My husband has been wanting to visit Games Workshop for years but never got the opportunity. We finally managed to get round to doing it for his 40th birthday and he was seriously impressed.

The full scale rhino outside was very impressive. They have done the vehicle justice. There was also a full scale space marine and a full scale Lutz (from Lord of the Rings).

The minatures gallery with the hand painted figures made our eyes boggle at the skill, attention to detail and there was a massive range of figures to keep any kid happy for hours (even the big ones). From there we went into the gaming hall which was filled with the sound of 100s of gamers happily enjoying their hobby and playing their games.

We paid a visit to Bugman's Brewery. (The authentic Dwarven Alehouse) and were very impressed with the attention to detail to include replica weapons and an authentic dwarven fire place. The food and drink were reasonably priced and to a good standard as was the service. The staff in the complex are happy to help, knowledgeable and enthusiasic and obviously have a passion for the game. Went home with some nice limitted edition models and some good memories. Would recommend to any Games Workshop fan or modeller.

“Hard sell”
Reviewed September 5, 2013

Son wanted to visit not really knowing what to expect. Great if you want to just look around, its a big warehouse style area for gamers and people who want to purchase what I consider to be very expensive models. Detail is exceptional though - you do have to build them (think of airfix) and paint them. Salespeople are all very knowledgeable and very very persuasive. Daughter nearly bought a dragon for £40 about the size of a large mouse that she would have to paint. That was just one figure in a set for The Hobbit of which you need to play the game.
For all that it was worth the trip and the 2.5 hours we spent there.
