If u love history this is great. The bar is in a castle basement dating back to 1100s! Near Nottingham forest selection of beers. Service was good and atmosphere great. Try ringing the horn

“What a Pub!”
Reviewed October 13, 2013

The most unusual pub we have ever been to! Great beer and fantastic setting. You must visit it. Great if you are visiting the castle.

“A great place with a unique atmosphere, built into the rock under Nottingham castle, good beers too.”
Reviewed October 10, 2013

I've been going to the Trip for years since being old enough to drink legally. Neat place to take someone who likes to go somewhere different. Beers are good. Food is pretty good too. Whenever I'm back in Nottingham I try to make time to drop in for a drink and a bite.

“Quirky and Historical”
Reviewed October 9, 2013

The Trip to Jerusalem is the perfect place to go whether you are a tourist, wanting to take in the sights of the city, or a local. The touristy charm of the place means it's a very interesting pub to have a look around and the food served is fantastic so it is an all round great experience.

“Excellent pub”
Reviewed October 8, 2013

As a local, I have grown up with the Trip to Jerusalem on my doorstep. Now that I live away, my partner and I make a point to use it as a break on trips away when visiting friends and family in the south.

The beer is good, the food is good and the staff are friendly.

In addition, you are visiting 'the oldest pub in England' and it is set in most unusual surroundings.

Just go and visit!
