“Very clean, well presented hotel.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 22, 2013 via mobile

We had a lovely stay! Very pleased we booked online on booking.com otherwise it would have been three times the cost. Personally paying £80 for a standard double room is very expensive and I would not be happy if I did pay this much. But, it was lovely and I advise anyone to stay here if they have an online deal! Very friendly staff and very clean bathroom! We were happy ladies. They called a taxi for us when requested and provided a very good service!

The room itself wasn't so bad, bed was of average standard and wasn't too uncomfortable. I guess the place did its job for the night, but only that.

If your looking for a good place to eat nearly, on mansfield rd there going out of town, there is a place called Ania's. Serves traditional Polish food at excellent prices. Somewhere different for a change without paying town centre prices. If you like vodka, then this is a must, if only for that. Highly recommend Ania's, which also has excellent rating on trip advisor.

I woudn't pay anymore than £35-40 for this hotel at any time, unless you have money to burn....

Room Tip: Only stay if you are having a ceap stayover.

Travelling on business I was able to pick up a single room at this hotel for one night for £31. I arrived at around 5.00pm and found there to be sufficient if limited parking. Check-in was efficient and staff friendly. My single room was actually not cramped with room for a comfortable three-quarter bed. The room was well furnished and the décor modern & fresh. The bathroom was small but adequate and everything spotlessly clean. Good plasma TV on the wall and ample supplies of tea & coffee. Didn't eat in the hotel but across the road at the Grosvenor where I got a decent mixed grill and a pint for £8 - recommended!! How can you tell I wasn't on expenses! All in all a very pleasant stay in Nottingham and only a mile or so from the city centre.

Room Tip: Rooms on the front of the hotel can suffer from road noise if you have the window open.

My mum and I stayed here as we travelled from Norfolk to scatter my grans ashes. On arrival we had to wait 20 minutes to be checked in as they only had one member of staff dealing with the front desk. We got given room 104 as this was the room my mum stayed in the last time she was there with my gran. The room was large but awfully dirty and the bathroom smelled of smoke. The bar was tiny with very limited drinks available and the lager tasted like the lines had not been cleaned in months!! The food in the restaurant was not that good either and my mums soup came out cold even though we were the only people there! The food is very over priced considering what u get. Breakfast was ok but should be better as its a buffet style. The overall hotel stay was a bit disappointing considering that we paid 85 pounds for one night!

I stayed for one night with my partner in a double room, the hotel is. A large old fashioned building but the rooms are quite modern with bright decor.very nice bathroom with bath and shower hot water ,nice plasma tv on wall with a good range of channels, lots of tea and coffee making facilities and biscuits, the room I had was at the front of the hotel overlooking car park and the main road ,had no problems with noise though, car parking is also free which is a plus.the staff in this hotel are extremely cheery and very helpful especially the lady I think she was called Marie,we had a meal from the restaurant which was reasonably priced and tasty, breakfast was also very nice and was buffet style you could eat as much as you liked and there was a good range of cereal, pastries yogurts etc, I only paid £59 for room and breakfast so was very well priced and would definitely stay here again.

Check in was average, room is small for two people - bathroom is ok - but dont expect a proper shower - a garden hose could do a better job. Breakfast is much to be desired for! It is all buffet style so no waiter service or food to order. But all in all I think the highlight of our stay was being woken up at 3.40am by a group of people who were drunk running up and down the stairs and slamming there bedroom doors (for atleast an hour) and if that doesnt put you off there is no air-con in the room so if you dont fancy sleeping - leave your window open and listen to the traffic through the night! I did report this on check out that we had this problem of being woken up - and it was just a half hearted sorry, not that it's her fault, but hey if you fancy paying £45 a night only to find you cant sleep from noise than please be the Westminster Hotel's Guest....we certainly were

Room Tip: choose another hotel, possibly the park inn its just down the road or simply dont choose to stay on...

hotel for one night very cheap. room was a single so quite small, but perfectly set out and very comfortable. the reception staff were friendly and helpful as were the restaurant staff. the breakfast was a buffet style, but the food must have been sitting there for a while as it was dry and hard. i ate in the restaurant the day i arrived and found the food served was wonderful, couldnt fault it. if i shold go to nottingham again i wouldnt hesitate to stay here.
