A beautifully landscaped oasis in the heart of the city, home to many attractive trees, shrubs and flowers. Full credit to the gardening team for their hard work and dedication in maintaining this attraction for our pleasure. Shame about the aviaries, always upsetting to see caged birds denied their liberty after being endowed with the wonderful gift of flight.

The best spot in the Arboretum is the memorial to the Crimean War, a little battered now but so was Crimea in the 1850s. The cannon were captured at Sevastopol. I was there - Sevastopol - a couple of years ago, well worth a visit.

This is a fantastic park located almost adjacent to Nottingham Trent University and a couple of tram stops from the city centre. It is a listed park and it retains its Victorian feel. Gardens are well maintained. The only thing missing was a play area and a refreshments of some sort, but as this is a historic park there is probably little that the council can do.

Visited this park as it was opposite my hotel on Goldsmith Street. Really beautiful park, perfect place for a run very close to the City Centre. Jump off the tram at near Nottingham Trent University by the Premier Inn on Goldsmith Street and its just down the road from there. Was beautiful on an Autumn morning.
