We were quite suprised at the hotel location & upon arrival were greeted by painters and decorators as the hotel build was still unfinished outside & In. We found quite surprising as the hotel had been open 3 months. The staff at reception were very polite and acknowledged us immediately & were spot on with there local knowledge. Our room was lovely & very comfortable. We had dinner on the first night and the food was magnificent however the restaurant was still unfinished and although the food was served with the best intentions the bowls we ate from made it ridiculously difficult to eat such nice food, we also were forgotten about when it came to ordering dessert. On check out our bill also had a £1 charity donation added. This should not be added without making the payee aware & being as people wont ask for this back ( which is probably why it's added without knowledge) this needs to be high lighted to customers as the bill should be the bill for what we actually wanted to pay for.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to post a review following your stay with us. Your comments are very valid and i would like to take the chance to respond.

There are a number of areas that are referred to as snagging and this has been identified by the designers, builders and architects where the usage has changed from the initial concept and improvements are being made all the time. I can only apologise if we failed to live up to your expectations.

I am so pleased that you enjoyed the quality of the food. I am sorry to hear that you found our style of contemporary crockery not to your liking.

The voluntary charity donation is as it is decsribed and it is printed on your key card and a letter is placed in every guest bedroom.

I do hope that you will choose the Orchard Hotel when you next visit Nottingham.

Warmest Regards,

Lasse Hogberg

I have just recently stayed at this hotel, i had a works party at the conference centre next to the hotel so the location was great.
I was soon checked in. The room was very nice clean and warm, the bed was very comfortable, the shower was lovely size.
Breakfast was good the only negative was the cooked food was in the corner so was a bit cramped as it was busy in the restaurant, but worth waiting for.
I would recommend this hotel.
Excellent location for Conference Centre, but need transport into the city centre

This is a good new hotel in nice surroundings. The room was very clean and still had that new smell about it, with a lovely forest scene feature wall. The reception area was huge but it might be better to have some more tables and chairs for the bar instead of such a massive waste of space. We stayed while a conference was on next door and were unable to sit in the bar area or eat food from the bar so ended up getting a takeaway. The staff were all extremely polite and helpful and I would recommend this hotel to others. It would definately suit business people more than those with teenagers because there is very little entertainment for them in the hotel or within walking distance.

We had a great overnight stay at this De Vere Venues hotel in Nottingham. We had had a very stressful day taking granddaughter to see the matinee performance of Strictly Come Dancing Live after spending 2 hours stationery on the M1 and having to rush to the arena and then had trouble finding our way back to the hotel. However, the staff were absolutly wonderful and did all they could to make our day end happily. They had put up a really comfy temporary bed for the little one and made us feel so welcome. We sat in the bar/lounge area to have something to eat and the food was excellent and really reasonably priced. At the time of our visit they had not yet developed a children's menu, but the excellently trained staff we keen to adapt the menu for our four year old! Breakfast was great and when I was offered a herb tea I had not tried before the busy waiter remembered to come back to ask me if I liked it or could he get something else - I am a great De Vere Venue fan, but this one seems to be surpassing itself and I am sure will do very well. I would definately stay here again (although would avoid trying to negotiate the Nottingham one way system!!)

Rooms were very clean, very new and generally really nice. Our bathroom was a good size and the walk is shower lovely.

The restaurant downstairs isn't the cheapest but the food is delicious. The staff were very efficient.

Only negative is the location. Fine if you're just there for a conference but a taxi ride to anywhere else you would want to go otherwise.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your comments. I am so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. I am sorry that you feel that Bramleys Brasserie is expensive. Our prices have been set in line with comparable stand alone restaurants in Notttingham.

Wishing you the very best.

We stayed at the hotel on a special promotion deal. We were greeted with a warm welcome. The room was very clean and comfortable and ideally sized.

I did not like the shower gel smell and would have liked a shower cap but these are personal querks of the individual.

Would definately recommend this hotel for business trips rather than holiday as I think it has been built to compliment the conference centre.

Room Tip: There are lfts at the hotel so I would not want to stay in a room next to them.

Situated inside the Nottingham University campus (University Park) which also has the East Midlands Conference Centre (EMMC), itself a very short walk away from the hotel. This was a very comfortable stay and the food was delicious. DIshes sampled included marinated olives, artichokes and breads; superfood salad; baked brie, (warm and spicy) apple chutney and breads; and caesar salad with steamed salmon fillet. Food arrives with trendy wooden cutlery, don't bite too hard.

Room Tip: 3 floors - 3rd floor has a balcony for gatherings apparently; I was happy with a 2nd floor room, tow...
