“Still loved and needed despite the arena's”

We visited the Royal Concert Hall to see Del Amitri. You realise once you've been to the huge venues which are now 'the norm' that all the seats are good seats. It's like having someone perform in your lounge for you. The acoustics were spot on. The view due to the layout was and is always perfect. There are several bars and entry and exit to the venue is never an issue. A huge bonus now is the tram which has a stop a stones throw away. No need to take your car into town anymore.

“Del Amitri 2014 tour.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 7, 2014

A wonderful venue that is comfortable & intimate with a great acoustic sound. Del Amitri totally rocked this place even though there were quite a few empty seats on the top tier! A pleasant venue, easily accessible, efficiently run & stressless to exit.

“Thriller live”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 1, 2014 via mobile

Show was great. Good seats. However had drunken middle age loud mouth women sitting next to us. Not the theatres fault. They did speak to them numerous times And eventually threw them out. Otherwise great experience. Had a good time.

Saw a show here last November and really enjoyed it and it is right in the centre of Nottingham with a tram stop right outside so really easy access

“A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE - WILL NOT TRY AGAIN”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 14, 2014

In March 2013 we booked 5 tickets as Christmas presents for our daughter and family including 5 year old grandson, for The Snowman on 1st February 2014, cost £129. We paid maximum price to ensure we go the full magical benefit of the snow which falls at the end of the show on the first few rows..

On Friday night 10 January 2014 we received a telephone call to say that row B was now not going to be available due to extending the music pit but we could still be in the stalls, 10 rows back, on row L. (like they were doing us a favour!)

This was obviously not acceptable but we couldn't even speak to a Manager to discuss it as there would be no-one available until Monday 13th. We went to the Theatre but the staff were unmoveable and blamed the promoters based in Birmingham. We spoke to Birmingham who said that was untrue and it was the theatres decision to do this work at this time and make these seats unavailable. So we have been lied to, our family Christmas present has been taken away and we are absolutely disgusted by the theatre managements total lack of empathy for our situation.

We will not be giving custom to the theatre in the future and hope no one else suffers at their unsympathetic hands.
