Saw this play today - amazing!
Highly talented company who made the play entertaining, funny, serious, hard-hitting, hilarious and very relevant!
Standing ovation well deserved.
If you haven't seen it try to go - its still on tour around the country for a while.
Fantastic value, fantastic experience.

All you might want from a theatre. We went there several times and we always had a pleasant evening.

We went to see Bill Bailey last week and he nearly made me wet myself with laughter; it was just a shame that when it came to using the toilet that there just aren't enough of them to cater with a full house.

The Theatre and Concert Hall are right in the middle of town so you'll need to allow at least 15 minutes to find a parking spot if you're coming by car.
Best bet is to use one of the multi-storey car parks near by and get there early enough to eat in one of the dozens of restaurants around the complex - many of whom do 'theatre specials' - quick service and smaller portions which are ideal for pre-theatre relaxation.
Inside both of the venues you'll find bars and snacks - even a simple food offer if you can't find anywhere else to eat.

I have visited the Theatre Royal several times over the past year (the last time being Thursday this week to see The Mousetrap) and have thoroughly enjoyed myself. It doesn't seem to have lost any of it's magic since I first visited about 50 years ago. The only drawbacks that I can find is the queues for the loos and the lack of sweet selection.
I would warn you to study the seating arrangement so that you don't have your vision obscured too much.
