Living locally this is our favourite place for take out fish and chips. Really great quality, an amazing choice of fish, seafood and pies. Service is fast and the food is very good value for money.

My friend and I always come here whenever we fancy Fish and Chips.
It's always clean, good customer service and exquisite food.
Today Nathan was serving us. He's very friendly and swiftly dealt with our order.
The only thing it lacks here is more tables for 2. We were asked if we minded sharing our table with 2 people, which at first we didn't mind. However the lady was rather annoyed about some policy regarding her meal order. She was rude to Nathan and made an unnecessary fuss, saying she'd been embarrassed. Nathan dealt with her complaint in a calm professional manner. However it was rather off putting for my friend and I. As we had gone to have a relaxing dinner. It won't put us off because we love coming here... I would recommend this place to anyone who appreciates exceptional good Fish and Chips.

We have dined here more than ten times in the last year as we live very close by. The food is good but not outstanding. The service table service is slow and muddled. If only someone would take charge and run the little dining area properly in terms of service this place would be excellent. Unfortunately at present one leaves feeling confused and annoyed at the unusually inefficient service and the bizarre behaviour of some of the younger staff.

We have been coming to Cod Scallops since they opened and before that used to be regulars at The Wollaton gastropub owned by the same company.

We used to get the fish and chips at the Wollaton because they were legendary and to start with the fish and chips at Cod Scallops were exactly the same. Just recently however on our last couple of trips we have been really disappointed by the chips which now seem to have a different taste (as in not much taste at all) and texture - and are nothing like they used to be.

The fish is still the freshest and tastiest in Nottingham though, so, if you are reading this Cod Scallops, please bring back the old chips!

Went with friends for a 'ladies what lunch' and had a really lovely time. Service very attentive, fish excellent, fresh and well cooked, and sweet (well we really didn't have room but.....!) was delicious. Might even take the husband next time.
