“Amazing hidden gem, Beautiful food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 22, 2014

Only living just down the road in Watnall I am wondering how I hadn't visited this amazing place until only recently.
Since my husband and I discovered the tearooms we have been twice.
On the 1st occasion we had an afternoon tea. Divine! Afterwards we took a look at the old priory and our daughter loved seeing the birds and farm animals.
On our second visit we sat outside in the sunshine and enjoyed the Monks Platter. Gorgeous!
Attention to detail and quality is second to none.
Wonderful place and we're looking forward to many more visits in the future.

“Lovely location, cake and proper tea”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 6, 2014

Shame this place isn't nearer to home and open all week as it's perfect. We sat outside among the chickens. We had a Mother's Day special afternoon tea and think was some confusion over what came with it but sorted with no fuss. It's not alacarte and neither are the prices, what you get is homemade and very English and that's what you expect from a good afternoon tea. Service was efficient and friendly.

“A proper hidden gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 3, 2014 via mobile

We visited for lunch on a recommendation from my mum. Due to its out-of-the-way location, I expected it to be empty but it was packed full! So I then expected that we would have to wait ages for our lunch but it arrived within 5 minutes. So I then expected it to be mediocre and not properly fresh but it was absolutely delicious and completely fresh!
What a treat! Great food in great surroundings and even some farm animals wandering around outside to keep the kids happy.
Loved it! Will definitely be returning when I'm back in the area.
