Owner description: A set of man-made caves dating from 1250 AD that were discovered under the local shopping center. Part of the National Justice Museum.

We purchased a joint ticket to see the Galleries of Justice as well as the caves (25% cheaper). This tour lasted about 30 - 45 minutes. The guide was very informative, particularly about the tanning caves (of which we were told may be the last one in Europe). It is suitable for older families (young children would struggle with this) as well as single people or couples.

We went on the tour of the caves, and the guide was chatty and informative. I was a little concerned about the terrain as one of our group had some access issues, but there were no major problems on this front. There is a spiral staircase to get to the caves, and the floor is a little uneven, as one would expect from caves, but as the caves are man-made, the floor is mostly level and there are hand rails here and there too. There are also a couple of places to sit down as the tour progresses, so you can take a seat as the guide talks. where seats have been carved into the stone, so should not be too much of a problem for those with mild disabilities (walking stick, etc), but there is no wheel-chair access.
The tour was interesting, and I would recommend this place to anyone with an interest in history, as a pleasant way to pass an hour. Or anyone looking for something to do whilst other people they are with want to hit the shops downstairs! The only thing I would say is that the caves are not very well signposted - the entrance to the caves is (weirdly) on the first floor of the shopping mall.

We visited today with our three children aged 16, 10 and 8. The staff were engaging and welcoming, the man who did the tour was fantastic, he really took his time and had a wonderful sense of humour. The caves are really brought to life and my children were both fascinated and entertained, the tour lasted 45 minutes.

The gift shop was VERY reasonably priced and the gift for the children at the end was a wonderful surprise.
