Owner description: Based in Nottingham’s historic Lace Market, the National Justice Museum is housed in Nottinghamshire’s Grade 2 listed old Shire Hall and County Gaol. The Museum uses original Courtrooms, dungeons and prison cells, along with a number of more contemporary galleries to exhibit collections relating to justice, the law, crime and punishment in a fun and interactive way. When visiting the museum you may also meet a variety of colourful historical characters with different stories of justice to tell.

We attended an evening function namely a medieval banquet. This was excellent. Good food, plenty to drink and great entertainment. Not only that we also had a tour of the building and dungeons. 60 plus happy customers. I would recommend this place for any daytime visit and or evening functions.

we visited the city of caves and the galleries of justices, though only found out about the galleries of justices as it was linked on the website with the caves. wasn't expecting alot, but from the moment we got in the kids and us were eneretained , we enjoyed the fact that there were characters that conducted the tour, and where characters within the era of their parts of the jail. it was great that u could see the different ages of the jail,And the card u were given so u cud c what punishment u were given for a crime in different era. when the tour end was surprised at how much there was left for u to explore on ur own. definitely need to go back as there was bits that we missed.

We took our Grandson to the above places and we all enjoyed the afternoon out.

We were given plenty of information, and I particularly found it very interesting. There was quite a lot to look at and a certain amount of participation.

All in all, very good!

We visited as part of a combined deal with the City of Caves. We visited as a family group and very much enjoyed the afternoon, the guides were very entertaining and made the visit more enjoyable.
