Owner description: Based in Nottingham’s historic Lace Market, the National Justice Museum is housed in Nottinghamshire’s Grade 2 listed old Shire Hall and County Gaol. The Museum uses original Courtrooms, dungeons and prison cells, along with a number of more contemporary galleries to exhibit collections relating to justice, the law, crime and punishment in a fun and interactive way. When visiting the museum you may also meet a variety of colourful historical characters with different stories of justice to tell.

As title states surprisingly good. Greeted well, staff were helpful cheery and really into the characters they were playing. In a party aged 7 to 50. Found it fun, interesting, slightly alarming at the torture devices, found the court room really interesting at what they found as breaking the law and punishment in those days. It was a really interesting tour museum come inactment thoroughly interesting and informative really good value for money. Would go again.

The tour was very informative and the actors helped give you a good feel for how things used to be. Be sure to find time if you are in Nottingham.

This is the old court house and prison cells, the ambiance can be chilling but it brings home the story so well....the exhibits are really well thought out and are suitable for all ages...lots to keep the kids engaged and adults alike....I particularly enjoyed the actors who roam around in period costume, bringing past characters to life again....little cafe selling light snacks...didn't partake but it all looked basic but good.
