Owner description: Green's Windmill is a restored 19th Century tower mill, once home to mathematical physicist George Green. Turning again since 1986, climb to the top of our windmill and see how our sails turn grain into flour. In our interactive Science Centre discover the remarkable story of George Green, and experiment with light, electricity and magnetism. There's something for all the family!

Iv been visiting greens mill for years and although it's free and the mill it's self is brilliant the science centre is the same as it was when I was at school in the mid nineties. It really could do with a face lift! If you've not been before then its well worth a visit

I love the science behind this mill. It is still producing wheat flour for sale. Unfortunately, the gate at the top floor is not open for visitors to step out to view the aerial view from Green's mill. I like the flowers planting near the souvenir shop.

Took my 2 grandkids here today, 12 and 8, I have to entertain them for a couple of weeks in the school holidays, really enjoyed it, very informative, they loved the fact that we could climb to the top of the windmill, see all the flour sacks and bags of flour, watch a video on each level explaining the various stages.no serious staff here watching your every move, when we went into the science room, we were told,' yes its OK to let the kids touch everything, let them enjoy it' fabulous, plus you can buy a drink, coffee 1 pound, squash 30p, no extortionate cafe here, really good, cannot beleave its all free, I would willingly have paid, I purchased some flour and drinks, unfortunately I meant to go back in and put a donation in the box, but took the kids to the bathroom, then on to the great little park attached at the rear, and forgot, but we will return, and I will make a double donation. Cannot recommend this Great place enough

What an amazing free visit in the centre of Nottingham! Free parking just a few steps away, lovely setting in well kept grounds, fantastic views over Nottingham and the surrounding countryside.
The mill itself is well kept and has useful information on each floor. A very friendly member of staff was on hand to chat to and obviously loves working here. I bought some wholemeal flour in the shop and was sad I didn't have a child with me to enjoy the science centre.
Well done Nottingham for providing this free of charge! I did give a donation though!
