location is spot on for a visit to nottingham, 5min walk and you are right in city centre, parking is at a nearby underground carpark fairly reasonable at £9 for 24 hours, rooms are good sized and clean. breakfast ok but dining area is a bit cramped with tables very close together. cost for a thursady night for 2 with breakfast £53 can't complain about that, very reasonable.

We stayed at the Ramada in December 2012.

We chose the hotel due to the price being so reasonable £32 (although we are from Nottinghamshire it worked out cheaper to stay over than for a taxi home) and the location of the hotel being pretty central.

On check in we were told that the hotel bar and restaurant was booked from 6pm for a private function. For us this was ok as we had tickets for a band so we had planned a meal and drinks elsewhere prior to the gig although for some I can see this being an issue as no prior notification was given. We were offered breakfast but declined this as there are so many decent places in the city to eat and also a Starbucks around the corner. The lady who checked us in was thorough however was trying to sort out parking for another customer whilst trying to check us in at the same time.

Our room was on the 4th floor. It was spacious however I did find a few hairgrips on the carpet which did make me wonder if the room hadn’t been as thoroughly cleaned as I would expect. Everywhere else seemed to be ok, although we did run out of handsoap from the dispenser after one wash each. We were only booked in for one night so I did not bring any from home.

There was a kettle however with coffee, tea and biscuits provided.

We didn’t go anywhere else in the hotel so cannot comment on any other areas unfortunately.

There was a little noise from outside the hotel – the binmen were cleaning up after a Nottingham Saturday evening which did wake me however it wasn’t too bad.

Check out was 11am. Check out was quick, just handed in our key cards.

I would stay here again and would also recommend to friends.
