The children's playground has been reworked in the last few years; it always was good, but now it's even better and very popular with my children (8 & 5). There're a couple of cafes adjacent, a large pond to walk round, and ducks to see.

We have a family association with Highfields going back a long way.It is a delightful park and we saw swans on the lake and squirrels playing. The gardens are beautifully maintained.Highfields House is now part of the University and has recently been extensively and sympathetically renovated. Here the walled-garden was amazing and well-tended.It is a pleasure to see such an old estate being so well looked after in the centre of Notts.

Lots of road works around the area at the moment for the new tram system, so lots of traffic jams difficult to get to by any means of transport.

Beautiful park with a lovely large boating lake overlooked by Nottingham University, ideal for a walk around the lake you can also walk into the university grounds which are also beautiful,
there is also good food choices, the downside I find is the parking I mostly catch a bus now days you catch a bus mostly every 10 minutes next year you will be able to catch a tram

I go here with my family, a lot of us go from the young children to the adults and we all end up having a fun day. They have alake where you hire boats, woodland parts where you see squrials, little ones can go exploring, a park suitable for all ages groups, in the summer when I went they had an inflatable thing (not sure the right name for it lol) and kids love it, a lot of grass areas all over so you can have picnics, play sport games or anything you want. They also have a cafe there but I would recomended taking a picnic or something the cafe was little bit expesive for what you get and the quality wasn't that great either and they have an ice creamm van there, it's a pretty fun day out for family.
