“Ideal location, good value but not a 4*”

There were 14 of us checking in which took very little time. The room was dated but a good size and very comfy bed and pillows. We had booked a twin room but got a double but as the bed was huge it wasn't an issue. The bathroom could do with an update. Cracked sink and no power shower. Our towels were changed as well even though we hung them up. What a waste. Breakfast was fab. Huge choice and good quality. The location was perfect too. Very central. We ate in the restaurant the first night and again the food was top notch. Definately not a 4* but as we had a deal I believe we got what we paid for. Would stay again but only at the price we paid.

On our arrival which was 3 hours before we could check in we were lucky enough that our room was ready which was a pleasant surprise. The reception staff were very pleasant and we were checked in quite quickly. Our room was a nice size with a huge bed . The maid had left a towel made into a swan which was very thoughtful. The bed was so comfortable with plenty of pillows. The bathroom perhaps could do with a tidy up but it was fine . Nice toiletries and plenty of nice clean towels. The breakfast was lovely . Plenty of choice from cereals to ham and cheese , full English , fruit and made to order omelettes. The porridge was beautiful. Lovely restaurant staff keeping you topped up with juice and coffee and tea. Good location for the city . Everything within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again

Booked with Expedia and were given the wrong room on check in (compact double rather than double plus). Were not provided with any of the extras which we paid for including water, robes, slippers etc. When we queried at reception was told that they were full and unable to provide the room we had booked. They were also unwilling to refund as we had booked via expedia and that basically we had to take it up with them.

The room was tiny, no minibar, glasses, fridge were provided. Was unable to use the chair and desk as there was not enough room between the bed to acually pull the chair out. The comlimentary toiletries were tiny with only one bottle of each provided despite two of us stopping there. Also there was no extractor fan inthe bathroom so everything ended up steamed up within 2 minutes and soaking wet with condensation.

The communal areas of the hotel are ok, however there are no service lifts so three times we ended up sharing the lift with trollies of dirty bed linen, towels and leftover beer bottles from the bar area - this is not what you expect from a four star hotel.

Breakfast was good, however the 20 minutes waiting time in the entrance hall waiting to be seated was reminiscent of queing for school dinner and and again not what you expect from a four star hotel.

All in all I think this hotel is shoddy, trying to charge 4 star prices for 2 star service. They either need to acknoweldge that this hotel is not fit for purpose and move to upgraded premises or reduce the price and star banding as this hotel is not what you expect from a Hilton and a 4 star.

I have stopped in premier inns and travel lodges that have better rooms and facilities than this hotel....I would recommend them over the Hilton any day. Very disappointed and the experience marred what was meant to be a birthday treat weekend.

I stayed at the hilton nottingham monday 15th oct, after watching john bishop ..... we found the hotel ok but had to pay 15.00 pounds for 24hrs car parking outside the hotel, check in was quick and easy. we got to our deluxe room....... well there was a very big red stain on the carpet, also on closing the curtains there was what i thought tom or brown sauce all down them and also over the walls :-( the bed was very comforble, that was the only good thing about the room. (room 105).... after the show we went back to the hotel to speak to the reception staff to advise them that when i have stayed in a hilton before in a deluxe room we had water,wine and fruit also robs, the receptionist said i can get you some water to take up with you. The breakfast was lovely, and all the staff were friendly, it was just the room that let it down ;-( i just dont think it takes much to clean a carpet and also wipe down the wall and curtains in a 4* hotel.

When you find the hotel in your satnav please do not drive in front of it. It is in a zone blocked for cars. Please use the parking garage nearby, you will pay 6 GBP per night (normal price 15 GBP). The reception needs to stamp your ticket
Check.in was nice and efficient. I was shocked by the room: Very tiny. I had to sit on the bed to work with my laptop because no chair fits in.
Called the room service to bring glassed and ice cause there is no minibar.
Breakfast was nice, service good so far.

we stayed at The Hilton on wednesday night for one night, we had a lovley room (317) with super facilities, bathrobes, slippers, wine and fruit too!!! what more could you ask for, it was my husbands 50th birthday treat and i can honestly say worth every penny, the breakfast was delicious with loads of choice, lovely friendly staff, so all in all thanks for a lovely stay, we would definatly use your hotel again!!

Having stayed in a lot of hotels all over the world, the hilton in Nottingham has got to be the worst place ever. Having arrived and going to our delux kingsize room, we looked for our complementary wine, water, slippers and bathrobes, we didn't find anything that looked delux about the room, but we did find the bottom of the basin was smashed and the bath had pubic hair in it.
We obviously go to the reception, they apologise and give us another room, still we had no water ect, but it was slightly cleaner.
The breakfast is a lot to be desired too, the chef did hear me comment on the plastic looking eggs, he didn't look too happy.
In our opinion this hotel needs a major make over.
The only thing this hotel has got going for it is the staff, they were very helpful it's not their fault if the equipment isn't there for them to use.
All in all don't bother going stay at the premier inn instead

Regards a very unhappy person

I am very sorry that you were not satisfied with your stay at Hilton Nottingham, Although I am pleased that you found our staff here to be excellent I am very disappointed that nothing else about your trip appeared to have been positive.

I am very sorry for any inconvenience you may have experienced whilst staying with us and as a result of this, I will be speaking directly to my head Housekeeper here to find out why any of the amenities were not or delievered to either of your rooms and why your room appeared not to have been cleaned throughly. I will also speak with the chef to ensure that they monitor the quality of eggs throughout the breakfast period to prevent incidences like yours. However I am pleased to say that we do pride ourselfs on providing delicious and endulgent breakfasts as I am sure you can see from previous guests comments.

Although it appears that you will not be returning to Hilton Nottingham I do look forward to welcoming you back to our Brand in the near future.
