It is no small claim t be Europes best poker room, but Dusk Till Dawn is exactly that. A superb venue, very smart and snazzy, loads of TVs, good bar, decent food, the best dealers around and probably the best array of tournaments to be found anywhere. If you are a Uk based poker player and you have not yet been....go!

DTD quite simply offers the best poker experience you will find in this country. I have played in dozens of casinos and private clubs up and down the UK and DTD is just a country mile ahead of the game in terms of quality, organisation and customer service.

They offer so much for whatever your interest in poker. Just play at home with some mates? There are low cost tournaments several times a week every week. They cater to everyone from people who want to spend £30 for a night of poker entertainment and enjoyment right up to high stakes aficionados and every level in between. This leads me to the customer service which is really the cornerstone to how good this club is.

If you play the cheapest tournament of the week there you are given the same attention to detail, thoroughly professional dealing and customer service as you would expect from a tournament which costs over a thousand pounds to enter. I've been to several casinos in this country where you are seen and treated as an inconvenience if you are playing a £20 poker tournament. At DTD you are treated with the same focus and respect here as anyone, and to the highest standard.

The card room is spacious and very comfortable to play in. They also have a good selection of meals on the menu which is regularly updated and reviewed from customer feedback. In terms of location it's very easy to get to by road from town and while there is not too much in the immediate area around it, with luck the retail park where it is located will build up and regenerate over time.

The last part of my review has to come from my father, like many dads he's pretty cantankerous and likes a good moan. Very few times have I heard him compliment a place. We went to DTD recently from London and he exited the tournament a fair time before me. He decided to return to the hotel but there was a problem getting a cab as the local cab service had most of their drivers out of action for a few hours. So there's my father at the DTD reception with a dozen other people trying to get one of the few cabs. Not only did the lady at the reception put in tons of time and effort to organise that many people after a cab with the taxi companies (rather than someone just shrugging their shoulders which I have seen many times before elsewhere), but when my father decided to wait in the bar, one of the doormen remembered who my father was, the fact he was waiting for a cab and found him in the bar to tell him it was ready. This just doesn't happen in most casinos in this country. My father, who has been to more casinos than I can count up to, couldn't stop going on about how good the customer service was. And if a place can impress him, you can be sure it will impress you too.

I've been playing in casinos all round the country for well over 10 years now but this place comes top for convivial atmosphere. Good mix of veteran and newer players on any night and plenty of games to suit all wallets.

Unfortunately I live in London so don't get up as often as I'd like, but when in the area try to pop in for a game.
