Description: Located on the top floor of the Welbeck Hotel with panoramic views of Nottingham, the Rooftop Garden restaurant is a popular venue for lunch, afternoon tea and magical evening meals. The dining room - with an abundance of natural light, cane furniture, and a sage green colour scheme – has a Mediterranean ambience. Serving only the best freshly prepared traditional and exotic dishes -the Rooftop Garden has something to suit everybody's palette and pocket. We highly recommend the tempura battered spicy prawns served with a light salad; the pan-fried breast of duck served with mash and a fresh orange sauce; and the delicious Malteser parfait served with a Bailey's anglaise.

“Small selection but nice food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 1, 2014

I paid £13 for mussels and honey-glazed chicken, which I think is a fair price, considering the portions were generous, and the food itself rather delicious. The mussels were slightly rubbery but the chicken was done well. The staff is nice and the restaurant itself is quiet and relaxing. I recommend it to anyone staying at the hotel too lazy, as I was, to go into town, as it will be worth your while.

“Excellent food, simply presented with good quality ingredients”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 24, 2013

The restaurant's name sums up its ambience - that of a rooftop garden with cafe/bistro style tables. This was a party visit and every choice at our table was of similar good quality. Portions were very generous and we considered it extremely good value. Staff were attentive and anxious to please. Only two small minuses - it was a little draughty (but then it was an exceptionally cold February evening) and the coffee was not as hot as we would have liked - suggest they warm the metal pots. Good wine list.
