Another great night out at Danielle's! Dined on a very busy Thursday night but this did not seem to pose any problems for the waiting staff who were both attentive and friendly - one of the girls even took the time to chat with us which is a nice touch, especially with it being so busy! We took the set menu... Both of us went for 3 courses as everything sounded amazing. We went for the ham hock terrine - a nice change from the generic pate you usually see on a lot of set menus - and my partner went for the artichoke salad. Both yummy! Then onto mains... Sirloin medallions wit h probably the best Diane sauce I've ever had, and the seabass and fishcake - all with gorgeous Vegetables and crispy roast potatoes which are included in the price. It's so refreshing to be served side dishes without the additional charge which you seem to see less and less nowadays. We were spoilt for choice with desserts so decided to get two to share. The brandy snap basket filled with Eton mess was quickly demolished along with a passion fruit creme brûlée. Top this off with a beautiful bottle of Pinot grigio garganega and a cosy atmosphere and you've got an amazing (and well portioned) 3 course meal for two plus wine for less than £50. I just feel sorry for the customers that had to be turned away that evening because it was so full - they missed out on a right treat! A continued favourite place to dine of mine.. And having dined in some of England's top restaurants, I have to challenge those who have compared it to the food you find in pubs!
