“lovely and relaxing”
Reviewed October 1, 2013

loved it. leather, large comfy seats with no kids kicking the backs of your chairs and screaming while you are trying to watch the film, its perfect.

you have extra leg room and a table between each chair to put ur drink on so none of this stupid cup holders that dig into you.

it's classy, adult friendly, and you can take glasses of wine in with you. perfect !!!!!!

“At last, something for Northampton to boast of!!”
Reviewed September 22, 2013

Not easy to find first time round, especially if mobility is an issue but once installed with coffee and snacks, this is a chic, comfortable and fashionable film house. Great staff who are eager to help, leading to a great value nightstand the cinema. Lovely seating and layout. Very proud of our latest attraction.

“Small but perfectly formed”
Reviewed August 29, 2013

Although I live in London during the week and have access to a huge number of independent/arthouse cinemas, I really do enjoy watching films or NT Live at the Errol Flynn Filmhouse in Northampton. All of the details have been well thought through including the chairs, the small area between them for putting (mostly locally sourced) snacks and drinks and even the area outside is nicely done.

The most impressive aspect of the cinema though is its programme, and I can only see it getting better and more varied. Considering that there is only one screen, The EF manages to put on a vey varied slate of movies and theatre broadcasts including plenty for minority tasts (Saudi Arabian cinema, LGBT, European arthouse) alongside some good Hollywood fare. A real asset to Northampton's fledgling cultural scene!

“Worth every pound!”
Reviewed August 21, 2013 via mobile

Went to see Taming of the Shrew, a feature of the Globe on Screen, and I love this place. Great vibe. Very comfy, leather, seats with side table. Lots of leg room. Quality snacks and drinks. I love that profits go to theatre funding.
Only criticism is that tea and coffee is pricey for the size of cups.

“Just what Northampton needs!”
Reviewed August 20, 2013

We went to see 'Quartet' here last night. This was our first visit to this new cinema and we were very impressed.

The seats are very comfortable with plenty of leg room and the atmosphere intimate with excellent acoustics. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Our only complaint would be that the area around the little bar is rather congested,
as people are buying drinks and snacks and others are purchasing tickets at the same time.

Apart from this, we had a very positive experience and will definitely be returning to see some of the interesting films that are being shown
- a real treat for Northampton.
