Description: We are a great local pub that thrives on great service and quality homemade, local food. From our kitchen we offer a great variety of meals from homemade burgers with your choice of toppings, to succulent steaks from a local butcher, or pub classics from our 2 for £10.95 Menu. Our bar is fully stocked with a large variety of Beers inc. Coors Light, Ciders inc. Aspall, and Real Ales that change on a weekly basis. We also have a selection of white, red and rose wines by the glass or bottle. And we now stock sparkling wines, prosecco and champagne by the bottle for those special occasions. (Or if you just fancy a 'Fizzy Friday!')At The Abington, we welcome families and allow children in the pub until 8pm. We offer an environment that is safe and friendly and have large tables for those special family occasions. On the contrast, after 8pm the party starts! During the week we offer live sports on our 5 TVs, pool table and darts. And at the weekend we show live football matches and rugby games, supporting The Saints. SKY SPORTS & BT SPORT. Every Friday night is Karaoke and Cocktails! From 8pm, our DJ turns up the music and lights and behind the bar, our team mix up classic cocktails with 2 for £7.95! Finally, the last Saturday of every month, we have a LIVE BAND to celebrate pay day! We look forward to seeing you soon at The Abington x

“Pitched perfect”
Reviewed April 29, 2013 via mobile

I'm not one of those people that gushes about another 'lasagne & chips' establishment, but this place struck the right balance. A pub with a earthy but not hostile clientele and a simple Sunday roast that was prepared to perfection. My one small criticism is that the beef was too well done for my taste, but what is that against Yorkshire puddings to die for. "How can you rave about Yorkshire puddings?" I hear you ask. Go: see: taste: they are the best I've ever had, at home or abroad.

Dear Ezekie

Thank you for your wonderful review.
I'm so happy to hear that our food was of great quality,
And that you had a Yorkshire puddings 'to die for'
(I am bias, but I must agree with you)

We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Many Thanks
