Beautiful gardens, full of colour and interest, a wildflower meadow full of flowers and butterflies and a bluebell wood (no bluebells in July, but lovely high shady beeches). Nursery with lots of unusual and reasonably priced plants. It's worth popping in for tea and cake if you are visiting other places nearby; tables set out under a huge shady tree, lots of homemade cake, very reasonable prices. Will visit again for the bluebells.

There's not much to dislike here. It's a small garden compared to the Stately Homes, but there's much to see and enjoy, and re-enjoy at different times of the year. It's a place you can take visitors to the area to show what a great place Northamptonshire is.

We particularly like visiting in the spring when the bluebell wood is at its finest - (check on-line because the time when in bloom can vary a lot depending on the weather).

Plants are well-labelled and at the end of your visit you can purchase what you have liked from the nursery or the courtyard.

Children and adults alike enjoy meeting the fowl, flamingoes and the parrot which reside here. And there is a small refreshment area too. This family-run establishment also offers day courses led by some well-known gardening experts - which sound interesting for those who want to brush up their horticultural skills.

Car parking is across the road from the house and gardens and is free. Overspill takes place in a harvested field - so anyone with low suspension or a hot catalytic converter may be wary of taking their vehicle into this area.

We have visited on many occasions having purchased a season ticket. A lovely venue for lunch and a walk around the bluebell woods in the spring and the formal gardens complete with the very beautiful birds. Very peaceful and relaxing.

A variety of plants in their natural surroundings. Able to purchase plants. Quick service with lunch and afternoon tea. Loved the interaction with the Flamingos.

Beautiful gardens, including a wildflower meadow, bog garden, water features, gloriously colourful formal borders, woodland, quite a few nicely placed benches and seating areas and so much more! Spent a lovely few hours wandering the gardens admiring the wonderful plants trees and flowers. Was surprised to find flamingos, lots of very cute ducks and chickens, Oswald and Gloria the Kune Kune pigs, longhorn cattle and Rodney the Macaw! The cafe was lovely too both inside and outside. We were particularly lucky to be able to enjoy the outside as it was a glorious day. Set in what was once the stableyard under the shade of an enormous and beautiful old tree, it was a delight, and the food and service were good too! They also have a lovely and quite large array of plants to buy in their nursery and a small shop also. Even the loos were fabulous! newly built by the look of them and very clean! A lovely afternoon out (opening hours Tues-sat, 12-530.) and we will definitely return again at a different time of year to see how the gardens have changed. Highly recommended!
