Another good night at The Derngate. We hadn't seen Micky live before and he didn't disappoint. He was on stage for ages and very funny so excellent value for money.

The Derngate is an excellent theatre but if you dislike heights avoid the top tier of seats in the upper circle boxes as they are high stools and there seems to be nothing in front of you. One of the loos was out of order which caused a bit of a queue in the interval and those that were working didn't cope too well with constant use (not flushing every time).

This theatre is in a good location but if you are using the multi storey car park then get there early, park on a low floor and reverse in to your space. After the show, don't queue at the main pay point as there are two more, one on level 1 and another on level 4. This strategy will get you on the road quickly if you aren't going out in town afterwards.

Came to see the panto - very high standard as usual. Parking close by and central location make it easy to access this theatre.

Recently refurbished so nice and clean.

Drinks and sweets are pricey - eat before you go!

I really like this theatre. Easy to get to, lots of free car parking in the town. Bright & airy foyer, modern auditorium with good view of the stage & good acoustics. All good. Seen Micky twice here & think e & the venue are great!

To have a top quality theatre like the Royal & Derngate right here in Northampton! This year's Christmas performance of A Christmas Carol was the best yet....everyone in Northampton should make it a priority to go and see at least one show here every year!

Why travel when we have the best theatre in the Midlands on our doorstep! Laurie Samson is leaving us unfortunately but I am sure we shall get the best director three in a row. Going to see One for the Road tonight!
Check out the kids classes on Saturday too. We love the Royal! Intimate, vintage and great productions. If you have not been for a while get back into the habit! It's worth it!
