It doesn't look much from the outside but its a bit of a tardis inside! The shoe exhibition is really fun to look around, much more interesting than I expected. The art gallery is quite small but then there is upstairs. My tip, go up in the lift, not the stairs, to the top floor and then you work your way around from the stone ages forwards. Its a very good exhibit, plenty of interesting things to look at and not too much small writing. Definitely allow a couple of hours.

Weird and wonderful shoes! From tiny 18th c ladies shoes, to giant boots! Chinese, Japanese, you name it, in the way of shoe or sandal they've probably got one!
Some good art too

The Shoe Museum is worth a visit, where they showcase the history of the best shoemaker of the world. Its such an eye-opener to learn so much about not just shoemaking, but abour how a town's economic can be drastically improved after a tragic fire. Its about the rulership at that time too. Very interesting and ARTISTIC.
