This hotel had spacious rooms with nice beds as well as a good shower and bathroom. Also had a good desk set-up for work. Room was not that well-soundproofed so you tended to hear hallway noises, etc. The hotel is not really in Northampton but is convenient to the motorway. Given its fairly isolated location, one must question the hotel charging £5 per day for parking. Staff was friendly but not great at following-up. It should be noted that there was no elevator for the second floor rooms. Hotel charges £15 per day for Internet access and also charges to make 0800 calls.

Booked weekend break, Dinner 1st night + 2 Breakfasts. When we arrived, could hardly get in to reception/bar/lounge area, a party of 200 were booked in and had taken over the whole area.
Disappointed to find our rooms were facing the dual carriageway, but assumed hotel rooms were pretty full, that is until we realised most rooms on our floor were unoccupied. When we went down for Dinner we were unable to have a buffet as the "party" were occupying the dining room. We had to choose from the A-la-carte menu, but so many items were unavailable it was a very restricted choice. Breakfast the next morning was also chaotic, we were down at 8.00am but almost nothing left or replaced. Breakfast on 2nd morning we were told that as there were only a few guests (the 200 had checked out the previous day) no buffet would be available but we could request items from the kitchen. Beans on toast with a poached egg arrived - beans and egg - but we then had to make our toast!!

Rooms were O.K. but towels were taken away and not replaced. No fault of the hotel was a power cut, which meant when we arrived back in the evening we had to park on the road as the barriers would not work.

All in all an experience we would not like to repeat.

I stayed here having read decent reviews on this website. The hotel was good value for a dinner bed and breakfast rate and while it seems very adeqate for business travellers there was something quite soulless (as somebody else commented). The good reviews are coming from upgraded people. Maybe we got a room that hadnt been revamped but I felt like ti was stuck in the late seventies early eighties.
The bathroom was new and nice and the shower was fine,
Dinner in the restaurant was nice but service felt a bit conveyor belt like, Didnt feel like the staff were too bothered whether we enjoyed our meal or not. To be fair though the breakfast was great and the staff were much better then.
The location is easy to find off the motorway but I would definetely only stay here as a kind of motel. (Again maybe we were just unlucky with the room we got). Couldnt find major faults with the place but wouldnt be bothered going back,

Stayed overnight over a weekend and I was very pleasantly surprised. Good deal for dinner, bed and breakfast. Received Hilton Honors Diamond priveliges witout having to remind staff or ask for them. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Food was very good. The buffet dinner provided a wide variety (always appreciated as I am vegetarian and my husband isn't!). The breakfast was the best I've had in a Hilton so far. Again, good choices for vegetarians as well as for meat eaters. Health club and pool area were clean and well supervised. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Hotel is ideally located near to M1, Norhampton and the Collingtree Golf and Sports Club. Only complaint is that drinks are on the expensive side.

We spent a family weekend there. Two rooms, both upgraded to Deluxe as I am a Gold HHonors cardholder.

Good, very spacious rooms, nicely decorated (only 3 mths ago, apparently). The fixed-head shower leaked over the floor, but don't they always in hotels? Nice bar and good restaurant; good value if you're on a DBB package as we were. We were let off the £5 car park charge. I can only think they impose it to deter football and rugby club members, opposite the hotel, from using it. I did notice that the barrier remained up, all day Sat and Sun, though which contradicts that theory!. The staff were all very friendly.

My only gripe would be the smell of cigarette smoke wafting up the ground floor corridor from the bar, even though we were at the far end. Accordingly, there was a faint whiff in the rooms too. I complained and was advised that there was nothing they could do, but that once the ban starts in the UK in July, all smokers caught smoking will be fined! Excellent! I'll stay there again.

This Hilton is absolutely fine. It does feel a little bit soul-less, but perfectly nice rooms, welcoming staff and good food.

You need to take a ticket to open the barrier to park your car, but they validate the ticket for hotel guests.

The only problem with this hotel is business communications. Inside the hotel is a bit of a mobile phone dead spot. Very hard to get a signal in the rooms, and only certain places in the public areas.

This situation was made worse by the fact that the Internet in my room didn't work and even though I reported it twice, it wasn't fixed and neither was I contacted regards progress. So, I used wi-fi in the bar area, only to discover that it is a very weak signal for that too and it keeps dropping the connection!

So if you need to communicate, this is not the best place. But if that's not a problem, then this hotel will do nicely.

The hotel is very near the M1 motorway, so during summer nights if you have your window open, you may be bothered by some background noise.

Stayed for 2 nights on a Hilton breaks deal. A very nice hotel, clean and well presented.
The food in the restaurant was good although the buffet breakfast was never very hot. The staff were pleasant but not very helpful.
