The Red Lion was a great place to go when it first opened years ago. During subsequent visits, it has been both great and disappointing which is a shame because it has a wonderful setting and good atmosphere inside. We went to try out the new menu and found the meats and the fish overcooked, portion of chips a little mean. Most delicious chicken livers and mushrooms for a starter healed the disppointment somewhat. If only the menu did a more heart warming meals like this and some wonderful salads, it could get back on track. Keep it simple and we'll be back.
