“Good value for your money”
Reviewed January 9, 2014

My husband and I frequently pass Fours Alls Inn on our trips to Halifax to visit family and friends. We called in for a meal on 31 December 2013, on our way to Halifax, then again on 2 January 2014 on our way back home. Our journey is always timed so that we can call for our meal which has always been most enjoyable. We have sometimes had the two course meal for the grand total of £14 for the both of us!!!! I must admit this is very rare as we are normally full with the main course. We can pay triple that amount back home for the same quality of food albiet the ambience is more upmarket with napkins replacing serviettes. We have taken friends and family there for a Birthday treat and have always received good comments regarding the meal. We have always been greeted in the most friendliest manner and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. If you are looking for a variety of good quality, best value for your money, substantial food - this is the place for you. Anne and Graham Whitby

Always seem to call in on our way home from York & no matter when we do the food is always tasty, hot ,plentiful, with a good choice of vegetables that you can add as & when your ready for them, not piled on already !! The service is always very friendly & attentive ,nothing is too much trouble .It almost makes going shopping to York bearable !! Look forward to another tasty treat with the family again in the not too distant future

“Spot on every time! ”

This is the place to be if you're after proper pub grub! The standard of good is what would be expected and is never late or other problems. The staff are lovely and the pool table is brilliant to keep people amused.. Including the younger ones! Laid back and relaxing atmosphere :)

“OK, but not as good as expected”
Reviewed December 23, 2013

Decided to dine here after reading reviews on here. Pub has a bit more of a "basic" feel to it than I expected, was thinking it would be more of a traditional inn. We were served quickly and staff were friendly. Not very warm in the pub though, so had to leave coats on. The starters were larger than average and tasted OK. The main course we had was pie and chips but I thought the chips had a strange taste to them. They were frozen chips but certainly not a good quality, seemed more like a budget range. For the price we paid, two meals for £10 - it wasn't bad but wouldn't rush back there. The pub is OK for a quick bite to eat, but rather lacking in character.

“Nice food!!!! But put some heating on...”
Reviewed December 16, 2013 via mobile

Visited on a sat afternoon on the way to Scarborough it was a cold day outside but veryyy cold inside we sat at a table close to the fire and felt like moving it closer haha....felt the radiaters they were off :-( ...menu was simple with all the old pub favorites, we both opted for pies I got steak and ale my partner got chicken and ham, mine was full of meat and tasted good, I believe it was home cooked it came with a good amount of chips and peas..with drinks our bill was 17 quid so reasonably priced...we mentioned we were cold to the staff and would have stayed longer for drinks, her reply was the manager has been told before but thought it didn't need heat as the fire was on!!! Hmmm big building and when we there was only 1 other couple in, would I return prob not as like to feel warm while eating a meal.
