Arrived on the train from London (2 hours from Kings X) on the Friday night. Got a cab from the station but it's an easy walk to the hotel (10 mins).
Stayed in the Raoul Collet room on the 1st floor. Large room, great bathroom. The sort of room you expect from an HDV.
Staff were attentive but relaxed. Food in the Bistro was excellent.
We opted for the half board package, which constituted good VFM.
Spent Saturday wandering around York and had lunch at Ate o' Clock, which we would recommend.
Overall, a good hotel in a lovely City.
