Description: Georgina's Cafe is one of York's newest and smartest tea and coffee houses. Modelled on the liner-society cafes of the 1920s and 30s Georgina's offers breakfasts, snacks, lunches and afternoon teas as well as great tea and coffee. Our cakes are becoming some of the most sought-after in the north and we also offer a range of beers and wines.

The full English breakfast is incredible! The sausages and bacon were superb and although it was a little pricier than some places the quality was great and the amount you get on your plate makes it well worth it. The staff are friendly and there is a nice selection. Perfect breakfast spot!

We had a super breakfast here. The Worker's Playtime (scrambled eggs with cheese, chives, sausage and bacon) was creative cuisine with great taste and the more traditional full breakfast was at the top of its class. While we were there the staff coped superbly well with a large family of boisterious pre schoolers running about, screaming and spilling things while still attending to our more sedate needs. The children fell silent when given their cakes, which indicated that they were as good as they looked!

My boyfriend and I stopped by for refreshments after walking the City Walls on the best weekend of the year so far. We were initially attracted by the name (I am also a Georgina) and the tempting cakes on display.
Service was friendly and prompt. The home baked scone served with clotted cream and jam and the fruit cake served traditionally with Wensleydale cheese were delicious and the bill was very reasonable.
Other customers were enjoying Club sandwiches and salads which looked very tempting and give good cause for a further visit next time we're in York :-)
